well when most people want instant gratification. Don't want to have to do any work to get the reward its not surprising. I play both renpy and sandbox games and like both but I can see an old school dev not liking the easy way to do things. It takes something away from the game if you can just click click and get what you want verses having to actually go through the story and take some time.

Yes because there’s so much entertainment, to sit on the couch and watch tv or go up to bed where wifes always asleep and you can’t wake her or they go out to the pool and do yoga or sunbathe, I forget.
Val’s days off are just as boring when all she can do is the same jogging routine or shopping or same cannon story of Randy getting handsy & at work is the same for the guy, you can do the same fooling around scenes with Mary and go to lunch and go home. Unless they added different scenes or choices to it it’s all repetitive, that’s why I prefer the renpy game with a ton of save slots

Sure but as I've said on other threads, that's more an indictment of the developer than the players. They're in the business of producing entertainment products. To me the whole concept of 'players liking to do it the easy way' is a cop-out for poor design.

Many video game players have no problem with lengthy engaging gameplay, but this is a porn game about a slutty fiancee, not Civ 5.

I didn't get to the yacht scene but I really hate it when a dev claims the NTR is avoidable, a person plays and spends a lot of time on the game and then OOOPS its not avoidable after all. Devs that do that should be removed from this f95 its lying, and its a disgrace.

I had a similar issue with a game that did not have the tag for females with dicks whatever that is called and I played it for a good 30 min and then suddenly main chick had a dick with no choices. I don't have a problem with people having different fetishes but honestly can we be upfront about what the game has or will have?

To be fair, right up until that yacht scene, it is completely, easily avoidable, which is why the yacht scene is so infuriating, and makes no sense in context of a "romance" or even consensual "sharing" type path. The yacht scene seems intended to be a big FU to anyone who played the story that way.

Well, I have to guess that's why the option of not having Val come was included though. So its the other two having sex with the dudes instead of her. However, the MC being excluded and made to watch from afar sucks regardless. It would have been infinately better had he been able to join in. Sharing and group sex is hot, but I have no interest in being shamed or humilated and made to be the lesser man. Others have said that donors to the Patreon very much want that content though, whatever their reasons.

In my playthrough, the other choice was the brunette and redhead that the MC works with (I forget their names at the moment). I didn't realize there were other possibilities.

Actually, you can be forced to take Val and Alyssa, with no choice.

Specifically, during the dinner event with the sponsor, if Val doesn't do at least two of the following three:
1. Hug sponsor when introduced,
2. Drink when prompted by sponsor,
3. Dance with sponsor,
then the MC is not given a choice by Jamal.

This is kind of perverse and seems to deliberately target those players who may have been playing a pure romance route, keeping Val away from everyone else. They are forced to see their LI(s) with other men, with no control over what happens.

Luckily, the Ren'py version of the game omits this logic, and the player always gets a choice, even if the choice isn't always a good one.

It doesn't help that with the MC passed out most of the time, we don't even get to see most of the sex scenes. But I guess that was done to limit the number of renders.

I just ran through the Ren'Py version, it's a much better version in terms of managing the story.
I didn't mind the Mary/Pearlyn ending, and that option at least preserved the story-line played with Valerie.
Ok, much less ticked off about it now...lol

Yup unlike some renpy ports where it's just the base game verbatim, xys's version fixed almost everything I didn't like about original.
