While I completely agree with you, its also up to the people donating to stop being stupid. It hurts the community in general in my view when people blindly donate without getting anything in return. I myself only donate when a game is fully completed or after an update that I think is quality.I would like to see more common sense and fairness from the developers here. If they know that game development is no longer possible due to time constraints or other reasons, they should deactivate the payment function on PATREON and communicate this clearly. This always leaves a "scam aftertaste".
its called Toxic positivity and it happens a lot. While I completely agree with you, its also up to the people donating to stop being stupid. People donating blindly encourage the bad behavior by devs, why do any work when people will donate to you regardless?
These look more creative.....comparing this to the recent set above, what a contrast! Here's a retrospective of all the avaiable "Pictures of the Month". We start in October 2018 with first pic... Ah yes, better times!
More to follow...
I just quit patreon support xys 4 weeks ago since he never posted any news or answered any direct messegas since april.Does anyone else find it strange that the creator of the Ren'py remake XYS was inactive for about the same amount of time?
Good on you, the more people who stop being stupid and blindly supporting devs that don't release shit while getting money from people the more devs will realize they can't treat the community like this.I just quit patreon support xys 4 weeks ago since he never posted any news or answered any direct messegas since april.
100%, i truly believe we'd see better games produced at a faster rate if proper market incentives were actually in place.Good on you, the more people who stop being stupid and blindly supporting devs that don't release shit while getting money from people the more devs will realize they can't treat the community like this.
Yes! exactly. When you have no incentive to do work because you get paid regardless the updates start to suffer in quality as well as in release timeliness.100%, i truly believe we'd see better games produced at a faster rate if proper market incentives were actually in place.
