Read a review, perhaps outdated, that said this game ends in an unavoidable "hard cuck scene". Yes, and practically for all foreseeable future. This is one of those games that due to technicalities isn't tagged abandoned. And based on you listed criteria (nice!) I would not recommend this game for you. I certainly didn't enjoy my time with it.

Bit of a shame because the title theme is rich. Also if abandonment happened because of unexpected negative feedback, must be a shock if you have an enthusiastic community and at some point everybody figures out that your intentions and your community's expectations don't match at all.

The development was always very slow. I don't know that I ever saw a span of less than six months between updates. And the software base is unusual as well, which makes it an odd game all around. There's always been a TON of unecessary busywork and clicking around in the game that does almost nothing. Whether it was intended once upon a time to fill in those gaps with more content, I don't know. It felt like it a few years ago which is one of the reasons I stuck around, thinking it would be fleshed out. But it never was. From what I know, the dev seemed dead set on doing things just in his specific way, even if something else would have been easier or faster.

The idea people have had is that he gave in more and more to a vocal minority of his Patreons who wanted the hard edge, cuckold based game instead of the more free spirited swinging game where everyone is happy unfortunately.

Sad that he couldn't do it in different paths. Nothing against those who prefer hard NTR, but I'm not one of them. Even if Imight enjoy playing something a little edgier than free spirited swinging, my red line is that there has to be a possibility of good ending, which excludes the last scene being one of beta cuckolding - even if that was an episode along the way. I often mention the possibility of games exploring themes like actual cheating being followed by a possible reconciliation arc, but there just don't seem to be any devs willing to go there.

I'm never into anything where people are made to be sad intentionally, or generally meant to feel like shit. Whether they leter reconcile or not.

For me, it can be hot when both people are part of an equal open relationship that explores them swinging and/or doing their own thing seperately, so long as everyone involved is having a good time.

If done well, something where one partner is secretly cheating on the other without their knowledge can also be hot, like some of the early paths in this game. The build up and the pay off and the physical and emotional payoff as it goes along. So long as its not actively malicious, especially if the woman didn't actively seek it out but was seduced, so long as she's going back to her husband or boyfriend and having hot sex with him as well.

But when it devolves into treating him like crap and rubbing it in his face, whether that's her intent or not, then its not my cup of tea any longer.

I could go with those terms as well. But concerning causing any character(s) to suffer, I'd put Always Fan in a catergory of its own. There's a lot of fantasy in the story, but the initial rough content that you need to engage in, if you even want to get into the sharing route, is more than compensated for by the bulk of the story. And it's not that hard to imagine a main character that genuinely didn't love Em initially, then warmed up to her, perhaps even by contemplating the consequences on her of her trust in his choices. Took me months to go beyond those first days because I really wanted to check the sharing route, but couldn't bring myself to knowingly bring her harm. But in the end, the MC was had redeemed himself, I got a perfect ending, don't think the love route (vanilla) could end better.

Cruelty in general, whether from or directed at the MC, is something I'm not keen on exploring.

The Adventurous Couple Original Story is the best one...

Exiting game is stupid... the police man MC does not share his wife for real.... Nicole is her slave... there is no freedom for the woman like in this great story... her Val can have sex without thinking of her husband... she can everyone she want

A life Worth Living is worse,,, is a boring blah blah game...

Here Val is a real star and the husband can only accept his fate.

I have found the completed "Pineapple Express" very interesting and for sure the wife is very very hot and can decide by herself what to do!

I always adhere to games that highlight women's freedom of choice! ) on the other hand, the two stories above comes with too much of a macho slant that reminds me a lot of Middle Eastern male culture that I do not share at all.

You are describing TACOS... that is focused in exploring in deep "themes like actual cheating being followed by a possible reconciliation arc".

In AWAS Valerie is the main MC... she is an actress super-star.. BUT THE #1 ACTOR IS DARIUS (BBC) her husband is just an agent/manager that is working in her production agency office (Val is not the main star of the agency but her husband is trying to help her to rise her carrier) VALERIE must deal with Darius to becomes the #1.

If you are talking about Valerie's story you have to take into account that she is a famous actress and that the production, which her husband also works for, is trying to expand into show business as any production company must do..
so this story is very well described... it is obvious that the showbiz world has rules that are a tad different from the lives of non-actors...
for example, she is an actress and has to play roles in which she passionately kisses the actor she works with... in this case the Husband is not an actor... so if he gets jealous it is obvious that Valeria has every right to tell him to fuck off

That's why I think the perfect play that fits what you write is TACOS...which unfortunately is unique...
in fact even PineappleExpress has a much less explorative story in the paths of fidelity/infidelity... it is a rather short story with choices that embellish other paths and that ends only with premature game over where the couple breaks up in divorce.

All other games mentioned are weak if compared to Tacos
but AWAS here is one of the game that should be very good as the best fgames that exploeing the relationship between women and men within a progressed worldview that diverges with the usual cliches of medieval male-female relationships from a culture that is retrograde and stuck in the first millennium.

We now live in the third millennium ... millennials have advanced marital relationships and this is the world today, in 2025.

There are already some recommendations for you in posts above, here come some not mentioned:

- Wifey´s Dilemma revisited" features paths from pure romance over sharing/swinging/NTS to hardcore NTR. There are at least 3 variants of routes with what you want on both the Kati and Lee sides of the game. A warning for newbies, traits, stat points and event decisions count, so you should choose wisely. You will get locked out of content you do not qualify for. Read a bit in the thread, we give tipps.

- "Sharing is caring" has NTS, Netori and NTR paths you can partly also mix. Nice game but a warning here too, since some players dislike the graphics engine. It is made with Koikatsu graphics.

- "The East Block" should also be mentioned

Thanks for your reply. Nothing against it, as I said, I think sharing is hot, polyamorous or open relationships are ok, cheating is a fetish I can go for as long as there's a path to reconciliation. I don't play games to experience defeat, not my thing. The feedback I got for this game told me that the superstar wife treats the MC as a cuckold, meaning humiliating him and not just cheating on his back, and that it can't be avoided. That's not the content for me. Unless, of course, the MC is no wussy and gives her, and the bull, payback. If "advanced marital relationships" mean that neither partner is the sexual property of the other, count me in. But I don't enjoy relationships where one partner is passive, demeaned, humiliated. If a game has this kind of content, with the MC being the humiliated party, the only way I'm going to play it is if I can put their partner in her place.

Only reason I haven't played it yet is fear it will be a long game to play - played other long games since, because they caught me off guard, didn't how how long they would be. My issue with long games is when I don't have a guarantee that a satisfactory path and ending is possible. Full confession, I don't play to take risks and enjoy thwarting defeat and an "earning" my good ending, I play for satisfaction only, with spoilers, so I avoid taking on games until I'm sure they suit me.

I understaood your point... but this story is well written there are the correct premises for havinga story that dwells in the world of actresses... so it is not for everyone

I really appreciate the ability to have a good conversation about this with so many who care and are knowledgeble about the topic. If that means we use a thread for a game that's on life support for a better purpose, then I say we're improving things.

For me, Tacos is just a frustrating game. It feels like there's room for it to be better, or more of what I want, but its either just not there or its hard to find, wading through the options that I don't want. I sometimes cheat with the URM when I just can't understand what the right steps are to get to a scene that I notice might be lurking under the surface.

What I want is a situation where both the man and woman come to the realization that they are cool with an open relationship, which includes both swinging/swapping and both of them doing things on their own with others, but unless I just keep messing up, the best I can figure out with this one is letting her hook up with other guys (while the MC sometimes creeps on them), while he is able to sometimes cheat on her behind her back, and risk potential consequences for that. What I'd much rather have is an ability to work up to where the MC can go out and have his fun without needing to talk about it, while she does too and then recounts them in a story/flashback to him a little bit later, instead of the peeking and hiding in the closet. It would be so much sexier if instead of the MC sort of ordering her off to have sex with someone else, that she's more in control and is then seduced into more and more risque and raunchy action without him there watching.
