I still can understand ultra-wide monitor resolution, as it is different from standard 1080p screen ratio. But my monitor is a standard 4k one, so screen ratio is the same as 1080p monitor. But maybe you are right and games engine is dated and doesn't support anything above 1080p, which pretty much could be the case.
Anyway, thanks for the reply. Maybe someone sees this and can solve the problem in the future. Who knows...
Have you tried ? Maybe it can help.

Just wanted to write that. Lossless Scaling helped me to stretch and keep the aspect ratio. Magpie would likely do just fine too.

It had to be fine for me as there are various settings in GPU software such as stretch using monitor or GPU, keep aspect ratio and whatnot. I tried it on NTR Homestay 2 to see if I misunderstand something or can't find respective setting, but it was fine. There was 16:9 ratio maintained so I just had some empty black spaces on the sides.

BTW Tsuma no Biniku just does nothing for me at all when I switch between full-screen and windowed modes. So Lossless Scaling helps to work around that too in my case.

Looking at mumbo-jumbo at this pic one can also see '1024x768' so as the game requires min resoultion of 1280x720 I guess that might be the issue - trying to run it on an older system supporting only lower 1024x768 resolution?
The issue is with japanese name encoding, when extracting the file in winrar goto options then name encoding and choose japanese.

Half of my gallery is empty, and I can't seem to find what I'm missing. It either ends up the same or finishes since MC wants it to end...

Can someone help please?

I downloaded from two times from separate links, but I keep getting the same "d3dx9_42.dll missing" error.

So I downloaded that file and put it in the folder, but now I'm getting "unable to start 0xc000007b" error.

And why am I the only one getting this? I see most have no problem running it.

EDIT: I already tried running it in locale emulator and compatibility mode.

EDIT Again: Nvm, solved it. I used 64-bit dll file when I was supposed to use 32-bit file.

For others with the d3dx9 errors, just install this. Make sure to uncheck Bing Bar as well.
