Do keep in mind that what they're showing off on their Ci-En page (unless I missed something; I'm not a member) is a different game, it's their remake of Forest of the Blue Skin; this is Mysterious Abandoned Building (or Shiratane Tower, or Shiro no Yakata; the game went through several changes in the past).

wait is this finished version? Is it still demo? Like i remember this game was developed like for 5 years, including weird fork moment when dev made new version with different animations.

I got the same issue. Fortunately, I found the answer in the readme.
You need to download the Visual C++ Redistributable at this URL:
You must be registered to see the links
You need to install the x86 version and/or the x64 version.
I installed the x64 first, but it did not work until I installed the x86.
It's still a work in progress but the developer wanted to focus more on the new port of the other Game he was developing of the Blue Forest. I think right now they finally decided to make this a new thread instead of talking about2 different games from the developer on the same thread
