No, people won't stop droning on and on about the vore (or anything else that they don't like), because they're expressing their opinion. Your comment won't make them stop, my comment won't make them stop, noone's comment won't make them stop.

I understand that seeing the same "vore bad", or "vore good" comments get's tiring, but there's nothing anyone can do, because at the end of the day, it's just people expressing their opinion, and trying to silence them will only lead to endless reply chains of mud-slinging at each other.

Also, I really don't think that "this fetish is less nasty than that fetish" is a valid point. All fetishes that extend beyond the classic boobs or asses are "nasty" in someone's eyes, and depend on a person's tolerance to weird stuff.

And my opinion is that they should find another game and stop wasting their time here, and I won't stop saying that. There's nothing anyone can do.

And you saying that they should find another game will not make them do so. That's exactly my point. Every one is entitled to their own opinion, and, most of the time, you can hardly do anything to change it.
I'm just saying that it would be better to agree to disagree (or, at the very least, ignore), instead of constantly trying to change someone's opinion, because that almost always leads to mud-flinging and shit-talking, instead of actual resolution.
I'm also gonna stop, because I think I've said everything I wanted about this whole "whining about fetishes" situation.

I think the issue with the "find another game" thing is like... sure, true, people like me who just want more yuri/futa content in Mystic Knight Maya (that's less "questionable") should go find another game. But the issue is that other games don't even have a fraction of that kind of stuff, even with MKM's minimal amount of the less "questionable" content. Most you'll get in other female protagonist platformers where you get lewded by enemies is one or two (dick)girl enemies at best, and there's a good chance it'll just be something fucking boring like another girl shoving a dildo in the main protagonist, not even really taking advantage of what a scene like that could (or should) be. I mean, hell, at least there's multiple instances of lesbian cunnilingus in this game, and from different enemies at that! (As opposed to some other games of this type where it might only get relegated to the one enemy that licks your pussy because the only other girl enemy is the one that shoves a dildo in you.)
So I guess if you're like me, and you were interested in this game because there's a lot of (dick)girl enemies compared to everything else, only to end up disappointed because most of those enemies turned out to be the vessels of "unpleasant" content, then you're left with a really odd form of hopeful thinking? It's one part hoping that some other game will eventually come out that does what I like about this game but better, another part hoping that maybe, just maybe, the next enemy that's some form of "girl" will just have more content that's just like... a hot tribadism scene or a futanari with Maya in a mating press.

this is just me spitballing but i think part of the vore complaints are due to the game not being billed exclusively as vore and the voting system the dev has on patreon, that last i remember was weghted by teirs. basicly turning it into an almost pure vore fest anyway. of course this is just how im observing things.

Hard agree. In the sea of hentai anime and games, very few have scenes that are dedicated to the full yuri experience. Most of the time I browse through the yuri tag, I remain highly skeptical as you have point it out, they are often unimaginative as they either use toys, fingers or they lick with their tongue that is drawn so poorly, they might as well be licking the air. You can tell they only include a yuri scene as a buildup for a gigachad to join in and to get a yuri tag to the game.

So games like this is a gem.

If you're saying that like it's a bug, I don't think it is. Pretty sure the arena is for the minor enemies. You can always take the teleporter in the several statue rooms next to the boss statues to directly warp to that boss room and fight them again, albeit the harder version of them.

Here's some other 2 cents: I'm not into vore at all. I'm not into futa either. This game attracted me because of the protagonist sexually being turned into the monsters that beat her. It's super niche content that's hard to find.

But those are only some of the endings. The majority of the game is not like that. I was disappointed to see the mushroom girl be nothing but vore, I was hoping Maya would rise as another mushroom girl (though this may be happening in the future). I was disappointed to see that succubus in the last stage be nothing but futa sex. Even so, I don't come and post here with every update "yay, more [insert type of content here] I don't care much for." It would be unfair to hold it against the developer.

It's true, though, perhaps "find another game" is a harsh way to phrase it but I still insist that complaining at every possible moment about something that doesn't fit your desires is just unnecessary negativity, especially when it happens in every update from multiple users. It comes across as entitled.

I do agree with you. I just don't think that trying to argue with comments that don't like "insert fetish here" content is wise, or worth the time.
As someone here already said, this is a piracy site, and comments here don't impact the game's development in any way, and only affect other commenters. That's why when I see comments that talk about liking or disliking parts of the game, I mostly just say my opinion (if a person that made that comment doesn't come off as a completely unapproachable asshole) and go on with my life. I'm all in for conversation when both parties can engage without resorting to "you don't like this fetish, you're a sick bastard, fuck you, my fetish is less nasty than yours", and just, again, agree to disagree.

I do want to say that I'm enjoying this conversation. If anything, I just hope that it won't be nuked by moderators, because this is exactly how I think a civil discussion about porn games with weird fetishes on a piracy site should be. We're all freaks here, one way, or the other, and trying to argue what fetish is less weird is rather dumb.

These are the short little "blurbs" about the game from itch.io and Patreon, the sites where the game is most actively updated (as far as I can tell.) Can you tell me where the dev says that the game is "vore focused?" Because as far as I can see nowhere does MegaBlueBall actually say that it's supposed to be some game all about vore. Even counting all the other non-vore funkiness that I don't care for, out of all 79(!) animations in the game, only 19 of those are some kind of vore/unbirth/absorption. So while there's not a lot of vore actually in the game (compared to everything else), I think the issue is moreso the way it's included more than anything. The "Earthworm Jack" and "Happy Pudding" enemies are the only form of enemy that isn't some kind of girl to have a vore/absorption animation, so it's just become a bit of a tired predictability that whenever a girl enemy is added, there will most likely be a vore scene associated with her. Add that to the fact that most of the vore-based enemies (who are mostly girls) don't have any alternative animations and it's increasingly soul-draining.

I agree. I do like vore however, but identity death through forced transformation is just the best cake i could ever eat, and it is extremely rare. Basic vore is boring in comparison, and futa stuff is hopelessly boring compared to the exciting concepts on display in MGM. Fingers crossed for more "hardcore", if you can call it that, content.

That's just the thing, it never was (and still isn't) advertised as such. Even his previous game didn't have near as much vore in it as this one does.

I'm guessing the problem here is that vore isn't balanced and majority of animations consist of vore? I'm fine with vore being added to the game as long as it's balanced with other fetishes. Also, some previous enemies might get additional animations therefore it's all good in my book

It's less that it isn't balanced overall, as someone pointed out a few posts ago it's apparently 79 total animations and 19 are vore/unbirth/absorbtion, but what has people complaining is that almost all the vore scenes are for the female enemies, which a reasonable number of which don't have alternate non vore scenes.

People want to see other things from the female enemies, and have multiple times now, not gotten it. Not all the time, there are female enemies without vore scenes, but people are more likely to remember the bad than the good, and it is disproportionately females using vore, so they get grumpy about it.

Honestly, they complain so much, because what we do have for non vore fans is fantastic, so everyone is invested enough to be very disappointed everytime a new female enemy gets released that has only vore.

Even for those who do enjoy vore, some of the stuff here can be a disappointment, cough me cough, but this is a solid game all and all, has a little something for everyone.
And what I like most about it is that it's not 'lose to see scene' that a bunch of other 2d sidescroller/platformers fall into - you get properly grabbed and have to mash to escape instead of waiting for your hp to drop to zero, getting downed, having to reload the game afterwards, etc...

Just gotta hope they do later on implement alt scenes for those who do not enjoy certain types of content (if not, then why does preference toggle even exist in the first place)

To be honest the only issue I have with vore is the fact that I expect a FUTA minotaur to have some sort of futa tag right? But no, the animation takes a weird fucking turn and becomes vore somehow. You like vore? I have zero issues if you put a worm enemy into the game and have vore for it (as it should be).

Heh exactly I say its a waste of a dick if it does not fuck protagonist in any way. But I have no problem with vore or other kinks even if its not something what gets me but I appreciate if there is some sexual alternative especially with enemies which really ask for it (not in that meaning lol)
