I don't really know where you're coming from with that because there's an chance that either A. The dev might not wanted to share his fondness of vore and other kinks on an social media like Twitter or B. Sonething may have happened that forced the dev to get rid of any hints of kinks of theirs to avoid getting punished on Twitter. Try again with your approach please. Then that his fault for false advertising. That's not as much of a defense as you think it is.
Just word-searched his twitter account, and he has never once mentioned having a vore fetish. Hell he's never mentioned having a fetish on his twitter. You just straight pulled that out of your ass.
I communicated with the developer and this is indeed a "bug" that he has been chasing for some time. So if it does end up happening to you, let him know the circumstance. Can't seem to replicate this, myself. Testing against both the futa centaur (the one that uses the leaf magic) and the witch boss, all of their attacks seem to connect just fine. At full armor Maya will just kinda "shrug off" some attacks with only 1 point of damage, which includes the centaur's leaf attack and the flying circles from the witch, but otherwise I'm getting hit perfectly fine. Even disabling fetishes that would be related to the enemies in question isn't preventing damage.
With how lax Twitter is with pornographic content in their site, I seriously doubt he would have faced repercussions. So no I don't think I will.I don't really know where you're coming from with that because there's an chance that either A. Initially I actually didn't know about your vore fetish at all, coming from your Pixie Panic Garden game. I thought it was just one of those niche things you entertained to keep scene variety. My thought process was that seemingly every single time you ran an enemy poll for MKM, vore fans would barrage the poll every single time for the vore option and leave everyone else hanging. Thus you had to acquiesce to the poll and add them in. It's not my thing at all, but I get where you're coming from now. My initial problem is that there's no indication in any of your advertisement of the game, whether it be your Patreon summary or elsewhere, that indicated the lean on vore content. I don't know the trajectory of where you want to take this game, so my earlier posts were based on the curve of vore vs other stuff you've released as of recent. Just now I've finally managed to track it down and correct it and this fix will be coming in the next version. Since I'm here anyways, I took the opportunity to catch up with the chatter in the thread so I might as well clear up some things regarding the ever contentious topic of "vore" in my game.

You are incredible for going the extra mile and including even more scenes for enemies. I don't know if I've seen many hentai games of this type do it, and thank you for coming here to reply too. I hope you get all the money you deserve for doing these well-made games.Hello everyone, Mega (a.k.a Laek) here. As someone uninterested in vore I will always advocate for the artist to do what they personally enjoy, let others enjoy what's on offer or find something else (especially since the complaining people likely aren't even patrons). Though can't complain about alternate scenes, very cool.Hello everyone, Mega (a.k.a Laek) here. A friendly patron brought my attention to the thread, regarding this rare bug described above. Interesting to finally get the dev's statement on the subject. Besides a simple "can't wait for the alternate scenes," there's one thing in particular that I want to comment on the most...Hello everyone, Mega (a.k.a Laek) here. While I can understand (and agree with, to some extent) wanting to keep some of the more questionable stuff less "broadcasted," I'm not sure if the current approach of a fairly vanilla online approach followed by the in-game "hey just so you know there's stuff you may or may not like! Find out for yourself" works all that well. It doesn't really advertise any fetish content to people who might like what's included, and it also doesn't properly warn others about the quantity and implementation of said fetishes. The game also doesn't really do anything to direct a new player to the fetish configuration in the first place, so if you're one of those people that just hits start/new game/etc. without checking the options first, the first sexual things you're seeing in-game are starfish, slimes, and... coral, along with the preview of the bug on the title menu. None of that really prepares you for things like being petrified by a medusa or a mushroom girl forcibly inserting the main character into her penis. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Maya gets cockvored by a tall minotaur lady
scene (and/or other similar scenes) just passed on the game because otherwise, the available screenshots and description wouldn't even give you a hint about what kind of content is available, aside from the different girls that are visible in said screenshots. On the opposite end of that, you have players (like me) who actually downloaded for the fairly vanilla presentation and heavy presence of girls in the screenshots, only to find out that the game is mostly catering towards a different audience entirely. While you're not wrong it sounded like they just don't want to deal with the puritanical abuse the internet vomits at anything even slightly different from the norm. Odds are good most of the people who sling that stuff aren't downloading the game to find out anyway so while you're correct that they'll reach fewer potential customers by not advertising the full variety of fetish content they'll also recieve less random abuse. A choice made for their own mental health rather than customer satisfaction and I do not blame them in the slightest. While I can understand (and agree with, to some extent) wanting to keep some of the more questionable stuff less "broadcasted," I'm not sure if the current approach of a fairly vanilla online approach followed by the in-game "hey just so you know there's stuff you may or may not like! Consider the flipside as well: Buyer's Remorse. People might buy the full product, play it, find out that it's a LOT less vanilla than they were led to believe, and try for a refund and call it a scam. While you're not wrong it sounded like they just don't want to deal with the puritanical abuse the internet vomits at anything even slightly different from the norm. Thank you for the bug report. Those 2 problems in particular were already fixed shortly after the original release of v0.4, so my guess is that the version shared here is still the initial release (with the bugs) and not the subsequent bugfixed versions.bug report
Your observations are valid; those were things that I had already pondered about years ago. Suffice to say that I've consciously decided to handle my whole "game dev public presence" in a unorthodox way (at least for now), even if it is a sub-optimal or even detrimental way of doing things, simply because it is more comfortable for me to do so. It is knowingly a subjective decision, not an objective one.there's one thing in particular that I want to comment on the most...

Ahah, well your attitude has definitely tipped the scale of whether or not I should more actively subscribe. Can confirm both fixes, have a pleasant day/night.Thank you for the bug report. A related point is about why I don't market/push/shill my game as much as I could. It goes without saying that marketing your product in a healthy manner is key to making people know that your game exists. And as you mentioned, clear marketing is also helpful to attract the right audience to the niche content. But the thing is that for me, I simply don't have the time/energy required to maintain multiple platforms (twitter, discord, hell I don't even post here on f95 which is essentially effortless free marketing).
Furthermore, with what little online presence I already have (most active on patreon, but also on itch.io and a simple blog) I just prefer to continue flying under the radar, in a manner of speaking. The slow but steady growth in popularity of my game is sufficient for me for the time being. And I've got the feeling that people like me, that is, those who enjoy fringe or niche content, they seem to have a tendency to more frequently go out of their way in order to seek out said content (at least generally speaking), so I'm not too worried about that either.
It does suck for the vanilla people tough, to be caught by surprise. But thankfully, for now the game is effectively free: you can pirate it here and elsewhere lol, or you can go on my itch.io where there is a free, albeit outdated, version as well. Therefore with the game being free, a potential player can easily download it, try out and see the content for themselves. If they are happy with it, cool. But if not, then shift+delete and move on.
When I eventually release the actual finished version 1.0 (which I plan to release on steam as well), oh yes then that is another thing entirely, as I'll be offering a premium product on the market, so the least I can do is be clear and upfront about the content. On Steam it is even a requirement to fill out a form detailing all the different fetishes (if you've perused adult games there you've seen this type of advisory), so yeah at that juncture I'll be donning my proper "professional indie game dev" and do things the right way.
My brain: Hehe! Ass hat.Looks at thread, reads about vore controversy. Me fapping to this...
