It is indeed a pirate site, but also a showcase.
Without pirate sites, many games wouldn't have as much support.
Personally, I don't even go to patreon to look at the games, and I'm sure a lot of people like me do the same and look on pirate sites.
Getting the word out about your game is the key, and I'm convinced that thanks to all the pirate sites, developers have won fans.
Besides, it's not for nothing that F95, for example, has certain rules that protect creators to a minimum.
So it's both piracy and advertising to new fans.

lol I know all that; you don't even need to explain.
Yet being a showcase and advertising won't stop people from doing posts like "We need a hero" etc etc as soon as a dev uploads the update on his/her Patreon.
That's just the reality of it.
I follow enough game threads on this site to know; and so will others who have been on this site long enough.
This game's exclusivity period for each tier is short enough. So personally? I am totally fine with this game's dev enjoying exclusivity until public release date (update not getting leaked). Same goes for other games on this site which are my favorites that I think actually deserve exclusivity period.
But.... we don't always get what we want.
Sure you and I may wish the update doesn't leak anytime soon, but for all we know things with leakers are ......unpredictable to say the least.
Sometimes a game may get leaked on a relatively high tier despite the dev deserving the exclusivity period (seen couple of instances of that). And that is entirely on the supporter leaker who does it. Not due to the people demanding (lol) for the update being greedy.
This is why I'm saying it's meaningless to tell others "don't be too greedy."
Cause at the end of the day, even with f95zone's secondary function as showcase/advertising for devs, its primary function is still a pirate site.
Hence, someone saying such words won't even really have an impact on what happens, given it's basically on the whim of a leaker and noone else.
