Sure, it's a misunderstanding on the MC's part, but that's a kind of breach of trust that's difficult to get over, even if you rationally know that exclusivity was never promised or agreed to.
The MC being a bitch and avoiding speaking to her for a year doesn't help either.

MC is special in a way since he survived the bonding without training.

I'll probably keep this game in my list to keep an eye on it, but I'll likely won't play it in a long time. Nothing about the MC or setup tells me we're in for a good story. Having a flawed MC is great if there's an arc, but an MC who's given everything has little reason to grow.

Frank is a guy who married his best friend and adopted her daughter after she was abandoned and vilified by the father of her child. He was a loving and doting husband and father to her and her daughter. He was then a loving and doting husband and father to a woman who never deserved him and her children, one of which actively hated him for "replacing her dad", but he never stopped being a loving and doting father to her even after he caught her mom cheating. And you think there is no reason women would be attracted to a guy like that?

No, I prefer story-first games, and this doubt is something I understand.
What bothers me with Frank is that he handles it in a weak way. I'm not saying he should just get over himself and fuck whoever, but that he actually does some introspection and self-reflection. Frank's doubt isn't more than him waffling; he doesn't take any actions (setting boundaries regarding his level of comfort or having an adult conversation,) and he just keeps doing the same things in different circumstances.

I wasn't trying to imply that his daughters love him for no good reason. But everyone else? He shows an apartment and gets flirted with, or he goes to the gym or to a bar... That's porn logic in a game that otherwise wants the player to take it seriously.

He had no hesitation fucking the bisexual in a lesbian marriage (if you chose it), and has one night stands throughout the game with Darla and Maddison without hesitation. Now that he has accepted his sexual relationship with Becca, Lilly and Meiko, he initiates encounters as much as they do. The only girl he has any sort of conflict over in the story is Abby.

Who said anything about me blaming Hedi? It's clear the MC is still hurt by what happened. He still avoids her, and he's a bitch for it because avoidance doesn't let him deal with his emotions. So when the choice about needing more time/thinking about it appears and immediately gets turned around, yeah, that's disappointing.

The MC would be dead if it weren't for plot armor. This can be a great narrative tool, which should be a source of conflicted feelings, but I don't have to find it sexy. In a way, it reminds me of a woman who is impregnated by their rapist. The baby representing a bond to a person and event that's horrendous.

I just find it so painful to be roleplaying this particular MC. The whole world is lining itself up to make all his dreams come true and he's having to be dragged to paradise kicking and screaming.

It's borderline insulting to our intelligence to have made us endure the whole Ellie illogical circular argument (I know I already confessed that I like you but... --->I see you as a sister ---> except that I do find you really hot so we could be together ---> except I have a girlfriend now so we can't ---> except she wants us to be together so we could ----> so why am I fighting this so hard again?). I swear this whole line of reasoning was repeated like 12 times. It's no wonder we made her cry!

He's just so basic of a character. He makes me feel embarrassed to be grouped in with him as a man.

It's fine, to introspect to show how pure the MC is in how he thinks and how he does things, but to this level theres no way anyone would even want to speak to him.
