and it shows how much they bullshit people too, say they're half way, and they think they can finish the other half in a month, that means by standard, we SHOULD be getting updates every 2, MAYBE 3 months tops, if they can actually work at that capacity, but it's just all bullshit as always. devs get complacent. this is why i don't think people should support devs on patreon unless they have like, an upwards of a year of work already more or less done with, and can continually put out steady work. I don't think any of them should work for free, granted, but I think you should at least have enough to show you can comfortably continually put out content on a regular basis and are willing to earn that support, but people just blindly supporting something they like, with no guarantee of any compensation for that support besides a render that takes 5 minutes, is why games like these that start out promising lose gas immediately. The people that support the likes of Glacerose, Jikei, Icstor, bluecat, irphaeus, sirD, all these devs that have made countless promise after promise, unable to fulfill them, time and time again, they're the problem. if they didn't exist, people would be more willing to pull out their funding, and then these devs would suddenly be more willing to work for their updates, but those passive, unaffected, undaunted, supporters that forget they're paying for nothing, they're why this is such a big problem now.
