Ren'Py - Mythic Manor [v0.21] [Jikei]

Fine game, I spent good time. Jade is the way cuttiest, also Anastasia, Naira and Iris are really nice but the best girl is Paige, she is the most beautiful. In resume - really nice girls, the story is a bit weaker, but still stand for 5 stars because of the nice ladies. Thanks @Jikei

hmm I have to say I largely enjoyed playing this game. Sure the art is not always great and it is rough in places but the overall experience is decent. So why 3 stars and not 4 or 5? I would have probably given 4 stars if it weren't for the dev obviously enjoying some simp/cuck BS by referring so consistently to Esther's past with the MC 's mom as "oh giggles we used to be wild" and then the go to trope of their being bi and/or sucking strippers cocks together, etc. The reason it feels so stupid is the characters most of the time are pretty sweet and then suddenly it's some shit backstory details that only cucks/simps are going to love. I don't need to know about the cocks the LI's had experience with. I don't find the slut fetish all that interesting since any story including it has to be stupid. Hey whatever floats your boat but it's not like sucking toes that you could not be a huge fan of but might try once. You either love it or hate it and I hate that crap.

Despite that though the game has some strong points. The in game walkthrough is good but if it isn't always clear there is a more detailed description with mods so there is no confusion as to what to do.
While I don't like sandbox games in general this one works decently. You largely choose which girl you can interact with at specific times. At other times an LI will come looking for you to spend time with which is a great addition. Most sandbox games you can literally sit in one place and never have an interaction. It's a small thing but it adds some life to the game.

The girls are fun enough-they aren't deep but each one has their attractions. I found the build up reasonable. The game has these sweet moments with some of the girls that work really well too. I don't feel like there is much of a story though. It's mostly just little interactions or short quests that advance your relationships so it's a typical sandbox game that way.

Anyway it has more good than bad with a nice variety of LI's from huge boobs and lots of curves to the other end, there's even a chick with small boobs and a big bum....There is something for everyone.

It's worth a play since it's mostly decent and the times the dev is giggling about some past dick aren't that frequent so you can just click though it and get back to part of the game that is fun.

3/5 stars as it loses a point for silly backstory and really almost nothing deserves a five star rating on f95.

I really do not understand the really great reviews for this one. I feel like it only has such a positive rating because of reviews from years ago.

The models and environments are extremely outdated, the worldbuilding is really inconsistent, the character writing is very bland (every character basically just has 1or 2 character traits and it never gets deeper than that), and so on.

The writing is not good enough to carry the mediocre models and boring sex scenes -- and the sex isn't good enough to carry the dull writing.

So what is there to play for?

Like many games made around the same time Mythic Manor started development, basically the only noteworthy thing about the game is the amount of content. There's a lot of dialogue to read through and a lot of sex scenes to watch. So if all you care about is killing a dozen hours, regardless of quality, this is the game for you.

Surprised that I've never reviewed this. Just played 0.19 with Lain's mod (strongly recommended) and it's still a great game. The models may be a little old at this point, but I think they still look fantastic. There's some decent variation in here too - with so many girls some certainly feel same-y, but they still look good.

The gameplay is good too - with so many girls and so many events, there's pretty much always something to do. Because there's so much going on here, the mod is a huge help in keeping track of what you can/should do next.

I do find the story to get a little dull at times - I tend to like darker themes, and this doesn't really get dark at all. But objectively, I think this is still a high-quality game that deserves 5 stars.

Dropped this game after 2 hours of gameplay. As many reviewers have stated, the character models and the overall layout are quite outdated to appreciate. Story background is fine but the progression is surprisingly grindy and baffling (even with cheat open). The most annoying thing though is the constant reminder of "under development", like, after almost 20 updates, if you still don't manage to make them work, why bother displaying them disappointingly in the first place?
Overall, outdated design+goofy animation++grindy mechanism+unfulfilled promises=Mythic Manor.

Quite good overall, but lacking in some areas, perhaps because I don't particularly enjoy sandbox games.

The models are good overall, and there's a reasonable spread of body types to satisfy various preferences.

There's an animation for the day rollover and I find it too long. Once or twice is fine but the length is just enough to get a bit annoying when you want to continue.

Animations are from an illusion game and overall are fine, but still very strange/unrealistic sometimes.

The "this is not implemented yet" things often get in the way. if it's not implemented yet it shouldn't be added as it's distracting.

The sandbox elements are fairly minimal, it seems to be just about going to the right location at the right time. The navigation isn't too bad.

The story is pretty decent and the writing is good overall, with very little weirdness in the grammar or word choices. The setting allows for various weird situations to happen without seeming crazy.

I've played this game since early development and while it is showing its miles and every update doesn't provide hours of new content, it is a recent classic and highly recommended.

The Good ()

• Good diversity of girls with different personalities, body types and overall looks
• It's a sandbox but not done in an annoying way
• A ton of H-scenes with the main characters and then 1-2 scenes with 10+ side characters
• Lots of story content
• Very much a harem game with enjoyable interplay between the characters

The Not-So-Good ()

• The art style/ graphics are a bit dated at this point
• Many of the major plot lines have seemingly resolved themselves so there's less "story" to look forward to.

I'm still enjoying this and excited to see where the story unfolds.

Definitely recommendable, especially if you've played Harem Hotel before and enjoyed it.

v0.19 review: Another great free roam harem builder, with great art, good writing, an MC that isn't an insufferable ass, and a gameplay cycle that doesn't want to make me rip my hair out, this game has a lot going for it. So long as it stays the course, it'll be great.

the game is overly ambitious. i respect the creator and the work they've done so far is great but it feels like the game is too big for it's own good, i don't mind a sandbox experience but the amount of locations and girls you can visit is overwhelming, obviously most of them can't be accessed for now because the game is still in it's infancy. the renders are great, but the dialogue is sparse and the progression is kind of messy. good luck to the dev, i'll be watching from the sidelines.

VNs on a strict linier path are nice, but I do prefer this kind of game where you can go after any of the girls at your own pace without worrying if you missed an event by picking a different option. Save on having to savescum.

At first I thought that I wouldn't like the style, but trying it more I started loving the game / characters. Fanora is the best girl. Great to have new updates every now and then, to move the stories forward. Some new side characters also added since I started playing.

The character design looks great, renders look decent, see a lot of seams though, genital alignment is sometimes not aligned. Satisfied with the variety of body types, loving the preggo stuff with jessa, hope that gets fleshed out more.

Animations are pretty good, but sometimes janky, some are choppy af and some are smooth as butter. Could do with some motion smoothing on those choppy animations or just add more frames.

Overall, games good.

This is definitely one of the best VN's I've played

The story is awesome in every way, all the girls are very unique and honestly it's hard to choose a favourite, Velle is more than likely at the top along with Naira but again it's to hard to choose out of all of them since Nefari, Fanora, iris and Esther are just as interesting, also I hope Jessa's story doesn't just boil down to her getting pregnant over and over, would love to see her and the mc develop something bigger

Some of the side characters should be upgraded to mains in my opinion, Paige and Anastasia should definitely get the bump, I feel they are more than side characters not just because of their scenes but because of their stories they feel bigger in the game and their stories are pretty interesting

All I can say is this game is a one of a kind in the sandbox sphere, there's no grind there's no annoying requirements to pass it's just done perfectly, I'm now subbed on patreon to, one of only a couple sandbox games I've done it with

Review for v0.18.1

I love Mythic Manor for its simplicity.

The MC moves into a manor filled with mythic girls (which are basically monster girls) and the harem sandbox ensues from there. There is no grand plot or conflict going on. You simply romance the girls through the many events and progress their individual stories, and that's completely fine.

The events are often fun, silly, and lewd, but overall just well done. It's almost relaxing playing this because you know you're not getting into anything crazy, but instead just having fun seeing the next events of the love interests. Going in knowing that, I think you will have a good time with this game should that all catch your interest.

Another thing this does well is having the harem members interact with each other. I've seen the term "bubble waifus" used before, where there are a bunch of love interests but they are all self contained and don't speak to each other. I hate that, and thankfully, this doesn't do that. You would expect 6 people living together to interact after all. There's usually a weekend event at the end of each week that are specifically built with that in mind, and again it's just fun.

There's a lot of content in this game, especially including all the side girls. If this caught your interest I think it's very worth playing. It's a personal favorite of mine.

An open world VN where you join a shared living situation with a bunch of mythic creatures who are also big tittied babes. The writing is okay. There's not really much of a plot to speak of and the characters are all getting their tits out or masturbating in front of you from the get go. It's a "be in the right place at the right time to trigger the next event" game which is frustrating without a walkthrough, and less frustrating but still not great with a walkthrough as sometimes I couldn't even figure out what to do from that. There's some music and sound effects, and the models are okay. I couldn't get into the gameplay.

A perennial favorite! MM has some of my favorite characters in the genre, and proves that you don't have to sacrifice characterization and personality to make a game that's hot as fuck. Whenever I see an update, it's an instant download and I feel like that's the best praise I can give in this forum. I will say that the in-game walkthrough mod is almost necessary in order to make consistent progress. Some of the quest hints are distressingly vague, and nothing takes me out of a game I'm otherwise enjoying like clicking on every single location just to see what works.

First played this VN a long time ago, but playing it now, while it's still really good, I didn't like it as much as the top-top-tier harem VNs out there.

The characters are cute, but kinda' one-note.

The renders are good, but not as good as I'd remembered. Everything looks a bit faded and washed out, for some reason.

A lot of the usual tropes. Girls falling and showing their panties, peeking, tops falling off, etc.

But, despite my complaints, there is a ton of content here, and I did have fun.

The dialogue is charming and both the map and cast are vast (bars) For sure use a walkthrough mod, though.
