After a brief period of time they make the update free, so they obviously have no expectation they're going to make it a going concern. By definition: "Hobby - an activity or interest pursued for pleasure or relaxation and not as a main occupation." They've stated previously they have RL jobs and do this as (just that) a hobby.

Dev must be smoking crack. A new character? Why? There's characters that haven't had content in 4 years. Every update seems to add a new character then that character gets put on the backburner for a new one.

Imma scale that back a smidge, but yes, the decision making is a bit questionable. He legit has enough side characters available to rotate which three or four he does events for per update. Poor Seren has been all but abandoned, Miya, Francene, and Beatrix were only added as the updates slowed to a crawl, so they're under utilized, and idk why Kylie and Carmen are even on the relationship list at all at this point
Oh, and we're getting more Astrid this update... yay.
It's really sad that this game doesn't get updates often, MM is one of my favorites and i really hope this game gets better, Jikei said in one of the patron posts that he was looking for someone to hire bc his partner it's not helping much due to personal stuff, so if he gets someone hired he plans to make updates more often, at least every 2-3 months or so. I'm not supporting him but if in 2-3 months another update comes out i'm willing to do so, until this day, cheers for the public release next week

Or am i the only one that plays these games for the story and not necessarily to fap. Hell in a couple of games i skip the porn aspect completely. This ain't one of them mind you, the succubus does something for me, idk. It's like a book series not finishing the main story but writing fuck all in the same universe, looking at you grrm.

I general I agree with the sentiment, but this isn't really a story game I'd argue. The girls do have "stories" but it's all just slice of life stuff for the most part. What would be considered finished to you? Theoretically this could just keep going with all sorts of day in the life types of events. I guess an endpoint could be marriages? But I wouldn't be in a rush to get there personally.
I really just think the problem comes back to frequency of updates. While of course I always want more of the main girls, I don't think the side girls would be much of a problem if this just got updated frequently.
