Are you looking for this particular aesthetic(3d rendering)? or are you good with 2d so long as it has romance?
Waifu Academy has nice rendering, but to say it has "romance" is somewhat farfetched.

Yea thats a bit confusing. No need to "follow" her. As soon as you get the quest there is a big, red "!" on the top right when you are in the park. Click it and watch the story.

Yea that's a bit confusing, this is part of Velle's story line, it has nothing to do with Jade.

Romance makes it better of course but it's not a really important point.
It's more about this particular 3d rendering as you say, 2d doesn't appeal me much

Oh, then you may have some luck looking for games made with Honey Select, as that's the game people use to make the CGs for these VN's, both this and Waifu Academy were made with that.
