Wow, so much shade being cast in this thread- I had to turn a light on.
Okay, so this may not have been the update that everyone wanted or was expecting- but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was bad. If anything it was more of a technical update- now a lot more of the events are repeatable which is a good thing, there's a lot scenes that I liked rewatching and now I don't have to dig through the 100+ pages of saves I have to find them. I also like addition of more music and the SFX. The music selections are poignant and fit the tone and mood of the game- making it a better experience, imho. The sounds effects add another layer of immersion that neither detract or enhance the game- they're just a nice addition to an already great game.
I'm sure it took the Dev quite a while to implement these changes and enhancements- it's not like he can rub a 1980's VHS tape and have the "Porn Genie" come up and just grant his wish to do all of these modifications. They probably took a great deal of time- either writing new code, ensuring the repeatable events looped properly, adding/modifying existing renders, and then having to play it to make sure that there were no game-breaking bugs/issues. I have to say this is one game that I've never seen any problems with, I don't think I've ever seen a 'Rollback Error", unless I did something stupid or didn't update it correctly. This was/is/and will probably always be a solid game- in terms of art, story, and writing. It could also be possible that the Dev always wanted these changes to be integrated into the game before now, but didn't know how to go about doing or didn't have the resources to make it possible.
At best, maybe this should have been called "0.7.5t" (t=technical) that way it may not have gotten everybody's hopes up so high or made them feel like this update was something of a letdown. I, for one, appreciate the fact that you have a Dev who is not only willing to keep creating new and quality content, but is also willing to step back and see what can be improved on with what he's already done. That's true dedication.
Was the new Sunday Event and Multi-Girl event the greatest- compared to other updates? Not as such, but it was still new content on top of all of the improvements that were made to the game AND it's not like a new game had to be started because of these enhancements...like a lot of other Devs. Be thankful for that.
Also, if someone were new to this game and is discovering it for the first time- try to imagine how much better or enriched their gaming experience will be because of them.
It's okay to be disappointed that you didn't get everything you were hoping for out of this update, but some of you sound like you're ready to lynch the poor guy because of [x]reason. Now that all of these tweaks and fixes are in place- the Dev shouldn't have to go back and make the changes again, moving forward it should all be more of the new and excellent content that we've come to expect from him.
Last, but not least- I don't know if anyone has postulated this theory...(not planning on going through 200+ pages to check).
