There's a difference between a shovel and a spade. The shovel isn't actually used yet (as far as I know). The spade is found in the place that sells art lessons for 170 quid. I never did take one of those lessons now that I think about it...

Yea thats a bit confusing. No need to "follow" her. As soon as you get the quest there is a big, red "!" on the top right when you are in the park. Click it and watch the story.

You get it after completing all the "quests". It lets you skip old content in newer versions so you dont have to replay it all again.
