What about the text file that is supposed to be in the files? It's in the folder but its empty inside.
That's normal, I also don't have it. Not sure where that comes from anyway. if the translator maybe planned to but never did it. I have no clue. maybe some others here know more about it. But the link I provided will help you for most quest lines and routes

At the first glance I also saw the text file was empty... until I realized that you could scroll down and the actual guide is at the bottom of the document...

Where can I find the ones I'm missing? I haven't started a new cycle yet, and there are still some bosses I haven't defeated. I have no idea what to do—I was just exploring and defeating whoever I could along the way.

Hey guys, I just started this game. I have some questions:

- How long is a playthrough of this game? Is it as long as the Black Souls games?
- Do we keep our stats/levels in new game plus?
- Is there any specific way I should be playing? I've been exploring and killing bosses, but I feel kind of lost. I loved the Black Souls games and I see this one being compared to it, but I haven't felt the same "hook" that the BS games had.

1- It's nowhere nears as big as Black Souls, much less Black Souls 2, but it's definitely fun and charming in it's own way and it's got enough content to keep you hooked. Timewise, You can probably fully finish this game about 3 or 4 times in the time it takes to finish BS1 100%.
2- Yes, after you get an ending, much like in Black Souls, you loop back to the start with all your levels and items.
3- My recommendation? Just play normally. You'll start getting the hang of things and connecting the dots as you go along. If you ever feel TOO lost then you can check the walkthrough but for me personally, this game is pretty freaking good to not play blind the first time. Especially the True End which is peak fiction.

Okay, so after playing for a while and get almost everything, here is how I understand about the lore.

About the BS super secret, I tried multiple ways but still can't find a way to read books in the library but there're a few things that caught my attention

Yeah the True End is a fight you can't lose. If you get killed you just get revived with some cool dialogue from the characters helping you out. Fetus, Saruf, Maruoris, Crediur, Risu, maybe Arkos and Rifell and who I assume is Gwirionedd too since one dialogue mentions "Wanting to share their power with you since they created you" and since we know Mama Gwirionedd is the one who created the Messenger it's a pretty fair assumption I think.

Also yeah, Saruf does seem pretty miserable when you fight him. He straight up asks you to kill him and seems relieved when you do. I think his line was "I wished for the love of others and was cursed as a result" so I don't think he was having a good time or that he had much of a choice despite being the origin of the Blue Plague.
