Alright, here's the thing: cookies aren't some global spy network. Imagine you visit
You must be registered to see the links
, and it saves a cookie about your cat obsession. Only that site can read it. Sure, there are other tracking methods, but seriously, thinking SS is gonna go full CIA on you for pirating video game porn? Come on, they have better things to do. These people seriously need to adjust their tinfoil hats

Spoken like a bonafide fed. I like the clever CIA misdirect to add credibility since it's really an FBI thing. I'll take my hat off when government entities stop lying.
