I'm not really sure how to word this, but I don't know why this game interests me.
I dislike the gameplay, and think the animations are okay. But for some reasons that I can't identify, this game attracts me.
Like, I want to see where it goes in development. Like even though I don't like playing the game, it still seems like a well-designed game?

Maybe it's because it uses gzdoom for the game engine and most people don't mess with the rendering or game physics when using gzdoom. All that stuff is usually perfect as it is. I just love running or walking in a gzdoom game like Doom, Heretic, Strife, etc. because everything feels so smooth. I think the developer slightly reduced the running speed for this but he didn't change how the character momentum and all that works. And like visually gzdoom is meant to work with sprites. Like it's designed around sprites. When you see a "retro" game in Unity or Unreal engine it looks really silly usually because those games were meant to do 3D graphics mostly and the developers have to kind of ape the "retro feeling".

Now besides all that, the developer of this game himself has done some stuff that already works. It took me a bit to realize that no we're not copying Sonic with this gameplay we're copying Pacman. Pacman for some reason is really addictive. It's one of those retro arcade games from pre-1985 that isn't old and unfun like Pong or Space Invader.

And yeah, the developer's spritework is GREAT. I love how the characters look, both the guys and gals. It's all cute and attractive. Good spritework, and good animation quality. The music is also repetitive but catchy and I like some of the effects. I think the combination of porn, pacman, and varied environments is what keeps us attached. Because pacman by itself I'd stop playing after 5 minutes.

You know you can remove items from the search results in the 'latest updates' section - take things like VN out from the prefix-other field and then exlude tags like ai-cg and no sexual content for example.

Game type tags would be nice but you can certainly help remove some things you're not after in the search.
I agree with ai, but tag system fails me constantly by forgetting or mislabeling, for example femboys multiple times were tagged with monster-girls. Also if i narrow down search i will gurantee to miss stuff like this game which by tags only looks not like action game on doom engine but CoC clone #21451261
I had the same issue with finding games, but I think I managed to create a set of keywords that is very reliable in filtering out games I don't want, while keeping practically all games I do want.

Maybe give it a go, perhaps it is of use for you too?:

https://f95zone.to/sam/latest_alpha...prefixes=1,2,4,5,7,12,13,17,19,20,22,23,30,47

Nakara, for example, can be found using my search parameters, but also a lot of other great gems.

If you change this parameter to filter by rating instead of the date of the last update, you basically get the absolute crème de la crème that F95 has to offer.
