It's just far too often you get people like the person I was responding to that just complain about it and talk about it as if it's bad game design (...) but you very very rarely see them.

I always thought the consensus was in fact that it was a rare thing to see?
In the majority of gameplay cases it's a lose condition or a grapple you need to get out from.

It's kinda like a repeat of the beginning of the game, to be honest with you. Your failure to fully defeat Nakara resets you to the beginning, alluding to the fact that there must be another way to truly defeat her. (i.e., she'll be truly defeatable in a future content update)

erm i hit the " ` " key when i'm playing the game after starting a new one and then type load 1 or load 2 depending on where i saved it. (there are a number of load and save slots i believe 3)

doing this brings me back to my save location.

Probably because none of us are really sure what the problem is in your case. I personally don't have enough experience with GZDoom to know what's going on with that.

Ok, here is mi problem.
I run the game, and I have to wait the load to play, but the load keeps there as you can see in this image, and I wait an hour and the game still not loading.

Even after this 1.0.2 update, I still couldn't defeat Nakara. That just tells me that this game's end-game is unbalanced. I have no problem dealing with any level whatsoever (Although the Chaos Realm is pretty stressful imo), even on higher difficulty setting, I had everything maxed out and got damaged a couple times during the final boss so I had to do a perfect escape (one heart remaining) when the maze was collapsing. Got a dead end and was hit once by a fox girl which resulted in game-over. I'm against the fact that you have to redo the entire run just because of that. Just let us retry the boss or at the very least, put a checkpoint between the stages. I understand that the last boss of your game has to be a bit of a challenge but I think he's might have overdone it a bit there. Also, is it just me, or is the audio mixing way too loud during that final boss?

I ´m not an expert, but maybe it might be a problem with your virus scanner. It seems it breaks up cause of network issues, maybe it got blocked from virus Scanner or firewall. You can try to disable it for testing or put in an exception in your virus scanner for the program. Also try to run program as an administrator about settings of the nakara.exe. If that doesn ´t help I dunno, I would check hardware drivers as last step.

Ok, here are some tips.
Since your sword keeps staying active you can always execute any enemies that come up.
There are no real dead ends, just obstacles.
When in doubt? Slash away and run through!
What I did not know is that Nakaras Tentacles stay at the boarders of the stage when they don't show up in one of the attacks.
Once you got your sword super charged from collecting rings you can slash them from afar.
The rest is random luck for powerup-buff rings from the previous stages/labyrinths.
