Hi just have a couple of questions. How do you fix low reliance? Right now is at -5 and going down fast. It locked me out of the card system completly. Also what are the requiremets to get a tutor? I fired the Vizier as fast as possible but then nobody wanted to take me except Ulric. That sounds like a failsafe to prevent that the player end without a tutor. Is there some extra requiremets other that them liking you?
When you get rid of the Vizier, there's three people who can become the Princess's tutor. Evette, with a love point, Cecily, if you let her into the kingdom, and Ulric, if the other two don't happen. Later you can ditch Ulric for Enrique, and even later after that you can ditch Enrique for Isabella.

Afair using the white card options were the only ways to improve reliance, and when it did lock me out first, it did tend to work at random times. As for the tutor, you need the run to luck out, which is kinda bad a system IMO. You'll need Evette's lessons before the festival of the flower, and gain enough favor with her. You can always get Ulric and switch to Enrique (I've never gotten Isabella, so not sure of her's yet). I havent played the 0.84 update though, this is from the 0.82 one.
In .84 you now only need to have a love point with Evette instead of a certain level of favor. That can easily be gotten purely deterministically by doing well at the Festival of Flowers.

Geez, I have like no say in the decisions the princess makes or how she behaves.
Then she goes to talk with her friend/servant, to summarize what she done whole week, and then I can decide what the servant says back? Wow. This is so visual novel. It did not make me care about the whole thing at all. I say, let the brother have the throne. Either he kills her or she can do something more fun than taking classes and trying to persuade the seven idiots to vote her queen. The "music" is super annoying and there is no hot guy.

With a bit of Python Magic, you can have a say in decision. It really doesn't take much efforts to implement rerolling of cards, and then the game becomes much more entertaining.
Yeah? But, simply deleting the game and playing something else instead, with no stupid cards whatsoever, is way less work and even more entertaining.

I've also found the game was quite frustrating to play, before I went to change the code.
BUT if you find deleting the game more entertaining that playing it, I'm not the one to convince. :)

In any case, the game provides quite a unique experience and storytelling, so you'll just miss on this one -- to each their own.

You know a reroll mechanic could be a good thing to implement. You could also make it so that if you reroll and fail again it could have negative effects.
