Yeah... if it weren't for those damned pirates he hates so much, no one would even know about his game with one of the worst names ever... like who the fuck is gonna check a random game called "Name88's Triangle"? But hey, whatever helps him sleep I guess...
To be fair thats exactly what I would say too lol. Even being an avid user of this website and checking the "newly updated" tab regularly, I NEVER Would have clicked on this game because it just sounds like some parody scuff. I
only found it due to someones little composed list of "good AVN" games when I was looking for something that was completed and had a decent length to it to kill time with.
But real talk, as a aspiring dev myself, the best course of action would be to mingle on here, talk to fans, get people interested, air out concerns, etc. That helps garner sales growth because people feel more willing to support you. Using DAZ, ideally you'd put your product on steam too to promote itself. However you'd have to go back and double check all licensing to be sure. I understand wanting to make money off your projects, hell I do too, but you have to actually market it lol.
The downsides, for as good of a project as it is, and how much efforts been put in, the first thing that most patreon potential supporters would note is "wow these updates are criminally short, and take quite a while" which isn't great. Theres alot of dev's here that are active in the community, open arms invite people to download their stuff for free and pump out
atleast 6 updates a year minimum. Hell some of them pump out an update almost every 2 weeks that are as long as these several month long waits. All in all, just isn't really doing himself any favors... To someone like me (respectfully), it basically says "
I want to drip feed content for more sub money" I could be wrong but I see it alot where a dev will release 3 updates a year and they maybe total to like 15 minutes of content. He also has Volume 1 paywalled for $11 behind his 3rd tier. It's just not a great formula overall :/ He also doesn't have any builds on any websites (like itchio for example) only demo. So he's pushing everything to be a subscription base.
Wish em all the luck in the world but would definitely change the name of the title, doesn't need to have his name in it as he
is the developer & publisher lol. Also would come back to f95, mingle and change his patreon tiers to be more accessible to people, especially when very slowly updating with very small updates. Even if you only resubbed on each update announcement you'd probably still pay well over $200-300 usd to support one game, most of us aint fortunate enough to toss money like that.
