I haven't abandoned the game don't worry. Creating your own assets takes time when you have a gf, full-time job, and gym routine. Plus I learn how to draw each day. Don't worry, I make progress towards the next update each day. Realistically looking end of February.Any date when the new release will come out...? I think it's been quite a long for now... Almost forgot that we have this game.
I am playing female path and can't proceed because I can't get a maid outfit. I go to the store and select the costume tab, and nothing comes up. I am on v 8.6. Is that something going to be in the next version? What is the latest version out?

You are playing the latest version. You can get the costume from a quest interaction with the girl in the sex shop

a bit grindy is okay, but several real life hours for 1 level is def. too much.
There are two things on the list you can do without. So cut the bloat and get working.

Female route abandoned? Whelp, didn't even realize there was a male mc route lmao.. Well, good luck in the future I guess. Was a fun game so I'm sure you will keep doing good, but any game I've come across that reboots halfway through, has almost never made it to the other side, let alone ones that abandon their roots and routes.

The new build is disappointing. There is no content in it, and it is not clear when it will appear. Old saves do not work, so any existing progress is reset. There are only 2 routes in the game, whereas in the old one there were more planned. And practice shows that games whose development is restarted become unfinished and closed. It's a pity, it was an interesting game.

Yeah that's real disappointing. I guess it can get added to the pile of other "reboots" that barely manage to get back to the same point two years later before the creator goes radio silent

In my view, this is a bit tricky; while letting the players have exactly what they want sounds lovely, it risks becoming like every other game that allows players to have exactly what they want. I would expect the dev to man the helm a bit - even if it goes against the current - to get the players to a destination apart from the rest.
Also, (and this bit is neither here nor there), I would reckon that 'choosing your own path', having 'meaningful NPCs', and 'random events' are all rather common in these types of games, and not something to proclaim in boldface.
