I think doing that triggers the common ending of Natsu going back home and suddenly a voice says something like "not yet", there is a white screen, and everything starts again from day 3.
You need to finish other's endings first, so you can trigger the Kotohana's ending. It might go by Koumei -> Aoi -> Hana then Misaki.
BTW the story of Misaki is so damn sad
That's the order I went in based on the difficulty of giving their chosen gifts. I know there's 3 h-scene's with Aoi you have to get as part of Hana's storyline, but I didn't think the order of the 3 main girls was strictly enforced. You may be correct though. Hana is also naturally harder to level get since her gatcha gifts are more expensive and don't necessarily pay for themselves unless you get the ultra rare worth 10k.You need to finish other's endings first, so you can trigger the Kotohana's ending. Does it keep the affection and items you've gained so far? If that's case then yeah, the time really doesn't matter. Just keep going and maybe try the order dicussed above.
Correct, you keep everything including items, money and affection, and you don't have to redo events.
Finishing any of the girls' ending just fast forwards to day 31, restarts, and back to the grind we go. You also get access to memories in the menu, in case you want to replay previous scenes.
How do you trigger chitose route? i have completed misaki route and have talked to chitose for 200 times but no event is being triggered. also how do you trigger the misaki sex scene after completing the main story?

it just triggered a few days after completing misaki route. i did talk a few more times with chitose and tried opening the unopened door in misaki's house a few times then the next day a new event marker was on the door.
Are there any games similar to this? Genuinely think this may be my favorite H-game I've ever played
Well it's hard to say. If you are just looking good shota game, then Summer and Winter Memories are for you, but those titles don't try to bum you out.

Yeah, have played those before and wasn't a huge fan sadly, found them a tad boring. Moreso mean story wise rather than simply shota. Did enjoy that aspect to an extent, but the story combined with the high quality pixel animation is what sold it for me

) - it doesn't have any supernatural element like Natsu no Sagashimono, but I found the interpersonal stories of the different characters touching.It is, unfortunately, also a grind and a half, although the minigames aren't too bad. I didn't like the pixel H scenes as much as I did with Natsu, but this is a personal opinion.
gee gotta wonder why every summer vacation themed game goes either two ways, Netorare or shota... IF NOT BOTH. and if there's anything that's not either of these it seemingly goes unnoticed.
