bro, let's be honest, the developer hasn't released an update for two months, I understand of course, he deserves a rest, a vacation, but you also need to understand the subscribers, they go through the content, they are waiting for the continuation, the wait is very expensive
Yeah, that's why I never fault the sub that hang around and don't share. Like you are paying for it, if you want to share it's your decision, and if you don't, well I have patience to spare.

I'm not an unfinite amount of money myself either so the I can only support a one/two project at a time and other time it does run pretty expensive. So I def understand the "I paid for the wait and I really want to enjoy it"

I get your point, but this game has love and effort put into it, I keep saying this but, the game could have been much much more simpler but the dev keeps adding their own style into the game and aesthetics.
Dev also said they get people not subbing until update drops so they get it, they are not "milking it" they got a full time job from what I understand and works on their free time, keeping that in mind, the quality and quantity we are getting is actually great, comparing it to other AI games in similar style, dropping after 3 months while having a full time team behind it.

Neko is part of the upper tier in the genre, it would be probably as well classed as ntr mobile and netorase phone if the update schedule wasn't so spotty to be honest. Like I know when I can reasonably expect either of the two other games update to drop, but neko is like a complete unknown.

Depend of how you see it, for the genre the gold standard is about an update every three to four weeks. Outside, and not using AI CG, the speed of update drop to anywhere between one every two months at minima to one every year, average probably sitting around 4 to 6 months, since only the games with the biggest pull or the most amateurish go above that. Japanese games lifted are usually complete games when they drop and get updated maybe two/thrice time for bug fixes during the following two year.

So compared to F95 in general, 2/3 month IS quite short time.
Compared to the other game in Neko niche, 2/3 months is quite on the slow side for an update.

I fill like the dev is trying to add to much stuff like I understand doing stuff like the visual novel but the game started as a texting Sim so it should finish as a texting sim but maybe I'm crazy
Phone Sims have the issue that you can't really have the characters in the same room interacting and having things happen because if they were then they wouldn't be texting. It makes 0 sense for two people on a date to do their conversations through text, or for a girl to text her bf about how their bull is making her moan when the bf is in the room with them and can see and hear them. Adding the vn parts solves this issue and improves the overall storytelling.

The VN part will most likely end with the end of Vanilla's vacation anyway.
