I dunno if I'd go that far but thank you >-< but yisss the story isn't about the MC at all! Or more accurately, Vanilla is the real MC in that the story is almost entirely about her and her corruption, less so the player's involvement in it - but I do still like the male POV as it does let you play with fun NTR tropes and build that relationship while things happen in the background~NekoNTR is compelling because it is largely about the needs, desires, and feelings of the woman in the relationship, which is contrary to basically all other NTR games who somehow make it about the sexual gratification of the cuck and his feelings, through his emasculation, voyeurism, insecurities, fear of black people, sexual inadequeacy, etc. Little to no NTR/NTS games have heroines with real interiorities, and are simply a canvas for the reader's anxieties for them to get off to. It's really telling that they call it "sharing" as if women were property. I think a lot of the NTS complaints come largely because the audience of cuckold themed powerpoint presentations is men who want to be the center of focus and attention, and cannot deal with the lack of control over women that is otherwise standard in these games.
I really wish there was a term or genre for non-monogamous themed stuff that isn't entirely focused on the men involved, because in 9/10 doujinshi, art, games, stories, captions, etc, it is about how it feels to watch your girlfriend touch other people, or how other people feel touching her, and not how she feels touching other people. It might genuinely be the only cheating porn on earth that passes the bechdel test. It's auteur kino. It's art. It's among the only things that manages the insane repression I feel trying not to cheat on people despite everything in my body telling me that it's what I want to do, no matter how irrational, destructive, and cruel it is; and no matter how loved, respected, and supported I am. Never submit to the horde of self centered men! Unless, of course, you have a boyfriend
And yes, exactly, I won't ever do a 'Pure NTS' route because the pure NTS people have in mind gives the player too much control and security - for me the best part of NTS is exploring the management of the kink on both sides. How does the girl's thoughts and feelings change as she spends intimate time with other people..? Is she really doing it *just* for her boyfriend? Why did she say yes in the first place - because she truly loves him, or.. did he just give her a nice opportunity to act on her own inner/dormant desires? What happens to their relationship now? How is the boyfriend feeling, is he noticing any changes? Is he worried things are going too far..? etc etc There's so much room for push and pull and ups and downs even in NTS
I don't think my games thaaaat unique in that regard though - there are a lot of good doujins exploring the emotional consequences/involvement in cheating in NTR and NTS scenarios
