if you skip the side girls like the maids , barmaid and stick to most of the main girls and skip any main girls you may have no interest in the harem becomes more manageable

lmfao tell us you didn't play the game without playing the game. First of not all AVN's need constant sex scenes , depending on the type of game early lewd scenes can in fact make it worst as it just feel rushed to include. Second of all if you actually bothered to play the game you would find out this game in fact has to many sex scenes if you go full harem path. It's only the first 2 maybe 3 chapters that barley contain much sex or lewd scenes.
I suspect you'd be happier if you just stuck to Pornhub where there are lots of sex scenes and you won't be interrupted by a story.
I'm not sure if it fits your design theory, but my issue generally revolves around "you're under attack, guess one of these random respones and hit the back button until you get the right one". And then comes the repetitive part where you figure out the right response to the pose and watch the same thing until you win or lose.
It stumps me that if all they want is porn, why wouldn't they go to one of the animated porn sites like cartoonporno and just watch animated porn vid after animated porn vid. Why bother with VNs.

yeah combat scenes when it comes to player choices for the actual combat doesn't really work unless the dev gives 2 different branching paths for winning or losing like in Shards of the Past. Otherwise it's better to stick to just having it in the story or player decision if you want to fight X but skip the actual combat portion when it comes to choices cause it's hard not to rollback if you fuck up lol.
There is a heap of AVNs that I would happily play without sex scenes. I enjoy the story, the romance (and I always like nude renders), it's enough for me to know they had sex (I don't fap to AVNs, so I don't care). A still shot of them having sex and then move on with the story.
I actually didn't start playing AVN's because of the sex or nudity. I just wanted the dating sim part of it and of course story. There is only a small handful of AVN's I did play as a guilty pleasure where I do need the sex scenes otherwise the theme of the game doesn't work but out of all the ones ive played it probably maybe 10 - 20 AVN's or less. I actually get annoyed when a AVN has to many sex scenes or a sex scene goes on for to long. As I just want to get back to either more story or normal non sexual interactions with some of the LI.
I can take or leave the lewds, some of them are pretty hot but I'd actually like fewer lewds in general. Give me a pretty girl (who is loyal but has her own personality) and a good story. If there's a girl I like, and we're together I don't also need to bang her sister, and her mom, and her aunt and her neighbor and her neighbors daughter and her friend from work, and the barista from the coffee shop where we hang out and her college roommate ... etc. I'd rather just have more scenes (lewd or otherwise) with the main Li and get on with the story.
ya sometimes I wish Eliza was the only LI in this game cause the first few chapters had the feeling to it.
