I might belong on the Dark Path because I really don't. I mean - I don't feel an obligation to protect everyone I've ever met. They are adults, and not particularly close to me (in my game anyway). If they can't survive on their own for a bit, I really can't do much for them. Also, if I'm correct - based on the conversations in this update - Alice is coming and having to watch her by myself will be difficult enough.
Also, just to be clear it's nice to have a partner who is nearly as powerful as MC because if we have to do something - get into a fight, go into the mysterious cave etc - it's nice to know that I don't have to devote half of my energy to keeping an eye on her, that she can fully handle herself and will yell if she needs backup. Anyway, yeah, if she's not going then I have to take a break from the game until next summer and then just go through it with skip and a walkthrough. If we're going after Taron then Eliza needs to be there. She has as much reason to hate him as MC, if we're doing something else ... like going to rescue .. people ... I'd rather not go at all and will not care about the mission, and wouldn't go if I had a choice, so I need Eliza there to keep me interested in the update.

you may not care but Eliza does if you care for her that is enough reason to keep them safe as possible and care for their well being. So with Taron around don't think I could let them alone if I had the choice. I don't think Alice is coming as it wouldn't be some small minor quest

And no. 2, and no. 3, and no. 4 ... basically the whole top 10 plus a bit. I have no interest in any of the others. I haven't even felt the need to replay it and explore other paths.

Nah ... if you ask Eliza whether she wants to come with you or stay and make sure everyone else is safe, she'll have her boots on and her bag packed before you finish the question. She freaked out because you were in a cell for one night ... and if I recall, MC promised when he returned with the cup never to leave her behind again.

in the moment yes, but she does care for her friends alot as well. If lets say something happens to them she would blame her self for going with the MC. So it would be in her best interest she stays behind. That's what im talking about if you care for her when there is a potential danger for the ones close to the MC and Eliza it's best for her to stay. Especially if she finds out it was Taron, different story if it was a random mugger.

Nope. Can't protect the whole world simultaneously. Sometimes people have to take care of themselves. MC and Eliza are supposed to be a team and the game just isn't nearly as good when they are apart. I raced through the whole quest for the cup, batted away everyone who said so much as hello and then raced back. Plus no Eliza means 8 months of updates with no lewds at all.

What would be kind of nice is if MC does head out for a bit without her and when he returns Taron Baby Dick is strung up, guts blowing in the wind with Eliza throwing rocks at him for shit and giggles. Don't need to see him again just have her deal with him like the pest he is.

Yes that is true but you have to think beyond your own selfish desires but also potential consequences should the unthinkable happen. After all im not just talking about some random bandits or muggers but someone that is actually dangerous for everyone that isn't Eliza and the MC. ( I have the same selfish desires in wanting to bring Eliza). But when I think about it , it really doesn't make sense for me to bring her along. But end of the day this is just me thinking logically without bringing any feeling into the mix like you are. We will see in the next update or 2.

I get that. lol thing is your dislike for almost the entire cast / other characters ( which is something i'll never understand) made me think about the whole thing of leaving the capital in a way I didn't think about before this conversation. As up until this conversation I wanted Eliza to come, you are the one the actually made me not want her to come anymore because you made me think beyond Eliza but the rest of the LI , Taron and how Eliza would feel haha.

Suit yourself. I'm really just asking for the game to remain interesting for me, and with Eliza gone, it's not. If the mission is what I think it is, it's not something that I would do anyway because I really dislike them and wouldn't come running to their rescue. I would have killed one of them at our last meeting if I could.

yeah I get that believe me I do. I say I don't want her to come because how you made me think about other things. But I bet after 2-3 updates without Eliza I will be wanting her back again lol. So I agree with this other than killing off a LI no one other than Serena has done something worth being killed over yet. Lol I thought you were like a Sith in the other game thread but you are a Sith here as well. You remind me when I used to play Kotor or other RPG's I would go full murder hobo I didn't care for anyone but AVN's I can't play the bad guy.

I don't know if I'm a sith. I am insanely loyal to the people I care about, to the point that I will do evil things to protect them - or even in response to a threat to them. But the people I am loyal to are few. In this game, really just one (and I would have killed Pearl for trying to steal the cup). In the other game, it's different because I am really just loyal to two right now - MC's sister, and the other one they killed. I don't just wander around randomly killing people (I let Serena's sister live - because I didn't see any reason to kill her - I wanted to kill Serena) nor do I have any dark intentions toward the world as a whole. I'm fairly neutral there. Just fanatically loyal to a few, and god help anyone who tries to hurt them.
good update, I am wondering about Selena... she seemed to be one of the MC love interests, even on the loading screen... So is she going to be or not?

Not in mine, I didn't kill the sister and for some reason Eliza let Selena live but she told her to go very far away and never return.

I've got a few saves happening, in one Eliza killed her and in another she let Selena go and told her go far away. I can't remember what happened in the third save. Regardless I think she is done as a character.

Unless she comes sneaking back (for good or ill) in the late game - like Gollum.

Yeah tho I admit Selena feels like an odd character to me. If I recall correctly on the path you kill the sister , she ask for your help to find some artifact that could potential bring her sister back and you can agree or not. Then the next update Eliza kills her. I wonder what the point in that conversation was , makes me wonder if it's some foreshadowing that the MC will be able to bring someone back from the dead later or what.
