And I just went back and checked and the king mentioned that they lost contact with the people they had posted at looter's bay and have no idea what happened to them. It seems like all they just know is that the pirates split into factions and are at war with each other. Presumably the kingdom lost contact with the people there around the time the mc beat Blackheart, and nobody was really a witness to that anyway so nobody knows what happened to him. Diana just thinks that Blackheart is hiding somewhere and that the girls know where he is but aren't talking. Nobody assumes that he's dead or that he left the island since he apparent never leaves and is too strong for a normal person to kill him.

That's all cool. You like who you like. So far, I genuinely have zero interest in any of the others. I actively dislike several of them but I have zero interest in them romantically, sexually or (for most of them) even as friends. Hmm ... ok. I just keep thinking about this as a military exercise and I guess I should stop that. Under the circumstances you describe though - no way I send soldiers in to an unknown situation (unless it's spilling over and causing chaos elsewhere). I'd send in new spies first and find out what's actually going on before I sent in the marines. Hell, if I was the king I might have asked MC to go and find out what was happening, but I definitely don't send in the navy. If there's a civil war going on, you just keep eyes on it, keep it from spilling over and find out how things turn out, then you can decide what to do with the new situation - rather than sending in soldiers and trying to fight both sides.
I don't think sending in new spies would gleam any new information, nobody but the twins and the mc knows what really happened to Blackheart, all they would really find out is hat there is a current power struggle in the bay which they likely already knew. It still doesn't really tell them what happened to blackheart and the King says the bay is an extremely important trade port so it makes sense just to send in a fleet to stop all the fighting so the kingdom can actually use the port again. It wasn't just to find out what happened it was to annex looter's bay. Military wise it actually does make sense to send a fleet if their goal is to take over the whole island. Presumably Blackheart is the only reason they hadn't done so earlier.

Nah, I'd still send someone to find out what's going on. Blockade the bay if you have to but get some recon at least and if there's a power struggle, even better - let them whittle down their numbers and deplete their supplies then when one side or the other has won or is winning then you go in with overwhelming force and just kind of mop things up - let them deplete their own numbers rather than having more people to kill your soldiers. Ideally I'd wait until the power struggle ends and one side or the other is having their victory celebration. Let them get good and drunk and then hit them at dawn.
I mean they probably did send people to find out what's going on, but having a blockade is just dumb. The whole reason why they are there is because they need to use that port and it's urgent, do you know how long a blockade could last or how long waiting for them to wittle each other away could take? That could potentially take months, and it's not like either faction is strong enough to take on the royal navy without blackheart around. There is absolutely no risk to just sending troops to take the place over and would be much faster. A swift and strong approach is the best tactic while neither faction is organized enough to counter or escape. That's kind of what happened here Diana got the drop on everyone.

Meh, I still like my plan better. It seems like they haven't had the port for a generation. Waiting a few more weeks isn't that bit a deal if it saves (your soldiers) lives. Although ... now I'm confused about something else. Wasn't Brenda mad that the twins had 'led the navy right to them' - how is it a vital port if they didn't know where it was? I thought they were just trying to stamp out piracy. Edit: Then again, if I was Diana I would have sent some of my own soldiers with MC. I wouldn't just let a pirate and a dude I just met go on a critical rescue mission by themselves. I'm kinda starting to think that the King and his whole military are just incompetent.
They were literally actively using the port when Blackheart was in charge, that's one of the reasons why the king is so pressed to get it back because they cant use the port while the pirates are fighting. As for Brenna presumably she thought Diana was after a few pirates and not the whole bay so she would at the very least potentially chase some pirates as bait isntead of trying to take the bay itself, which at the very least would give them time to escape

tbh I only play this game for Eliza. To me this feels like the harem is tacked on because of it being a AVN and Buu needs to add porn to attract more people. imo this would make a far better game if it was only about Eliza and she was the only LI. I only somewhat agree with you about her being clingy, childish and above all overjealous. Because before she was a vampire it didn't feel as bad ( imo) so I assume her changed with everything being dialed up to 100% is what made it more apparent. Tho I will say it has gotten better after her purification but I don't think there has been enough time between her being purified and the MC leaving to see if this part of her is improved. Cause Yeah she is still my favorite despite this negative but I do hope it improves cause yeah not a big fan of that part of her character but still not enough for me abandon the Eliza train either. Especially because anytime I replay the game she pre Vampire Eliza brings a big ass smile to my face.

Depends on the type of game for me.
