I mean balthazar is obviously the finaly enemy, isnt he? Battle of the nephilims?

Inbetween taron and him theres still the cult and all the other continents with vampires and whatnot to give enough serious enemys.
Seems likely. Remains to be seen if he's involved in MC's parents deaths or not, or if the motive there is more of a general heroic or anti-hero (if Dark maybe) nature.

Main point is that it seems Taron will likely be taken care of one way or another relatively early, and we won't just retire to the country immediately afterwards.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure his parents had no clue how powerful he'd be. And there's no reason you must be beholden to the wishes of your parents either. "With great power comes great responsibility" etc etc.

As for getting revenge for them, Taron is only the primary protagonist for Season 1 of 3 planned. So chances are MC either learns that the conspiracy runs deeper or moves on to bigger and better things.
They did though. That's part, I think, of why they wanted him to stay home and be a farmer. They conjured the angel. They knew what he was. I want to get Taron and then we'll see. I may not continue to Part 2 if there's some kind of cannon where we have to be with a bunch of the Lis from part 1 because I have zero interest in them. I abandoned/deleted a different game yesterday for basically the same things. It started out with a main girl and a main goal, then it sort of changed the goal and wouldn't let you be with the main li - eventually sending her far away, then the "choices" became mainly about fending off dozens of other lis and then finally it forced you to be with some of the others, whether you wanted to or not. This, sadly, seems to be going in the same direction, but so far we haven't been forced to cheat on Eliza.

Thinking about it, MC's dad could become the final enemy too (even after balthazar), i suspect it was him who eradicted our fairys village and he doesnt seem to be the most empathetic being lol

I mean that's the thing though I don't really consider it a betrayal in the first place since both of them were doing against their willIt feels like a lack of empathy to even hold a grudge against them over it, saying they deserve death just seems crazy but then again I've never really like to do the whole murderhobo dark side route when I play rpgs. You don't have to be a saint, but the whole I'm going to murder everyone who annoys me thing just feels to weird even in a game. If anything the fact that they immidetly jumped to support the MC with a little coaxing is the real betrayal since they really shouldn't have had any loyalty to the mc.

And again they didn't want him to be an adventurer because it was dangerous, the mc is too op at this point for most common stuff to be a problem to him. They also wanted him to be a good person and likely wouldn't have liked the mc doing any dark side options.
But even if you don't murder them, you shouldn't be forced to rush to their aid either. I didn't do anything to indicate that I even liked either of them as friends and I do not. As I see it it's setting up a greater betrayal because if I ever get the chance to turn on them, I will - in a heartbeat.

Yeah I play the murder hobo in RPG's expect for in games like these and to me the only character that has deserved death is Selena. Peral and Kira really never did anything wrong other than lie about taking us to the island right away but taking us to her father first. As they didn't know us or why we wanted to go to the island. So hard to see it as a betrayal others said similar as me.

I disagree with this only for one reason I do not think having a negative score with a LI should mean they are taken out of the story. There are plenty LI I do not like in other games but I would hate it if all of sudden they weren't in the story anymore because of choices, I rather they stay in the story but they hate or betray the MC or something like that. For me it feels kind of disrespectful towards the dev to want to get rid of a character from the story. Basically what you want is to delete them from the story. Plus this isn't a game with heavy branching what you asking for is the dev to make 2 separate storylines.

I kind of forgot all about any betrayal, implied or otherwise, once Pearl slipped on that bikini. Sad she changed into tribal clothes later.

What I'm really asking for, I think, is better writing so you have some reason to justify ditching Eliza and rushing to the aid of people who (IMO) betrayed you and who you formed no bond or friendship with. Ideally I'd like to not go at all, or go and then slow down so you're just a minute too late (oops) but I'd at least like to feel like MC has some reason for going without twisting my mind into a pretzel to justify it.

yeah I agree with that much. I hated how the MC got the message. Hell I don't think we even saw what the message was the bird just showed up and gave the message to the MC in his mind or something. It felt really rushed and disappointing to be honest with the set up with the admiral heading to Looters Bay and the pirate Civil War. I think it needed a few more updates to get to the MC wanting to even going there.

I mean you're only twisting your mind into a pretzel because you're going out of your way to view as enemies when the game has never really set them up to be enemies. The whole trust thing really feels more about the whole romance flags rather than setting up a friendship and the mc would have bonded with them over the course of the month that they were on the ship together and when you helped overthrow their dad even if you don't see it that way. Like I said the whole anti pirate thing feels weird to me, even if you didn't romance them insisting that they betrayed you feels silly

The reason is that at his core, MC has a desire to protect in general, and not just Eliza. He doesn't need a self-interested reason to want to help them (though obviously he has one in addition here since he considers them friends or lovers). That's one reason why he helps Luna, Amelia, the pirates, and likely dozens more unnamed others as part of his work with the adventurer's guild.

It's obvious there's a disconnect between MC's core values and priorities and what you think they should be. But ultimately, this is a visual novel and not a freeform role playing game. We may be able to influence some things with choices and Light/Dark path, but certain things are going to be immutable.

Revenge and protecting Eliza are important things to MC. But so is adventuring and protecting all his friends/lovers and people in general. I don't foresee that changing any time soon.

But how do you fit that with the "dark path" - I'm becoming convinced that that is the way to go with this one because I don't "like" any of the others - mainly because I don't think the writing has earned it. Other than fawning over the MC most of the Li seem almost entirely devoid of personality, or at least I don't find them interesting as characters on their own merits.

Personally, I suspect Light/Dark is more a matter of how he resolves matters in pursuit of his core priorities rather than what those priorities are. The fact those choices haven't changed core aspects otherwise so far hints that it's unlikely to fundamentally alter them, though perhaps that'll change later on.

As an example, perhaps you can become a forgiving protector or a ruthless protector. Or that desire to protect can perhaps twist into a desire to control (to protect people from themselves, for example) if you get corrupted by power. But those changes aren't likely to strongly manifest until much later. At the moment, the impacts of Light/Dark will likely be more restricted.

Either way, I don't see him not caring about those things.

You're wasting your time. He's made up his mind and been saying the same thing over and over for months. He is 100% wrong on Pearl betraying him as has been pointed out numerous times and he still proclaims constantly someone beating him to a treasure is a betrayal and an act worthy of death.

By that very logic, he betrayed Pearl, she needed the cup to save Kira and he tried his hardest to get it first (in his mind that's a betrayal worthy of death). They should have killed him for his betrayal.

See, the thing is that I need to care about those things and at this stage in the story, I don't. In fiction the writing needs to make me care about people and things that the writer wants me to care about and other than Eliza and revenge - I don't. I don't care about any of the other characters any more than I do about any random person on the street and I don't care about their problems. (And IRL I'm a pretty soft touch - I spend a good chunk of time helping strangers and small furry animals in exchange for nothing.)

Unfortunately, not all writing or writers will appeal to everyone. In my case, I actually do care about most of the LIs to varying degrees, and am interested in some of the adventure mystery.

only to you and more like it's your opinion because of how you feel. but in reality you aren't 100% right it not a clear cut case of betrayal when you take in all the context and don't use your personal feeling. Like I personally don't see it as betrayal at all but I can see why one may see it as such.

But you're still trying to convince me. We're just going to have to agree to disagree. I'll even concede that what MC did could probably be seen as betraying Pearl as well but it doesn't matter - the thing that matters is that I do not like the Pirate twins, would still kill them now if the opportunity presented itself and at this stage in the game that isn't going to change.

LOL. I pity anyone in your life who takes anything that you've decided is yours. :ROFLMAO:

You're just trolling now.

You don't like anything about this game except Eliza, you don't like the story direction, you don't like the pirate twins, you're making up stuff in your head to justify why you don't like them, you don't like any other character, you don't like the writing, you don't like bla bla bla.

And yet, you're still here every day, over and over, complaining and whining and trying to suck all the enjoyment out of this game and this thread for everyone else.

A normal person would say this ain't for me and delete it and move on to to something they will enjoy. Instead you say this ain't for me and complain daily for a few months now.

I'll say it again. THIS IS WHAT THE GAME IS. It is not changing and you're constant negative posts are way past annoying.

Delete the game, press ignore and move on. You'll be happier.
