It's part of the whole island thing... By fulfilling the prophecy, the MC and Echo are considered married and call each other husband and wife (even if you declined her)..

Yes, you are forced to marry Echo, even if you're not on her path...which sucks, overall the game is almost kinetic, except you can choose if you want to ''romance'' a LI...alas the game sucks if you reject some LI's, as in they still behave as if you are on their path....
So i have to marry her before Eliza

His magic works different which is why the island no longer effects him. His works the same as they Deity's, it's a part of his essence. As Maia put it, a Nephilim is a top tier Demi God. While he can use mortal magic, his magic is far different and more powerful. He's still growing too and has potential for massive growth. At some point he will ascend and have the ability to get more power.
If say, a normal mage were to go to the island then they would be useless. I'm not sure about Gobbo's, not sure how much of them is based on magic. If they are then yes, the island would screw them too.

The act of him becoming tribe leader marries him to Echo.
Recreating the soulbind with the 3 Deity's is their form of marriage.
As of now he has 4 wives.
3 of them being romantic marriages are player dependent, 1 will be romantic regardless.
If you are on Echo's route then it's romantic and if you choose to follow romantic soulbinds with Malanthe and Gaia then those are romantic marriages.
Maia is his soulmate so that's romantic regardless.

No. They still make out and get naked on the bed, then the game checks if you are on her path, if not, she fucks off...it's really jarring and bad written...

I still need to play the Island Arc but as long as it isn't a real marriage ( like how it would be with Eliza) but one for story reasons I don't mind. But yeah if it's a romantic marriage fuck that being forced.
You sure about Eliza at this rate everything going MC gonna marry the whole world before Her.
Why on Earth not take her with him it's not that she is weak

Taking over the island is marriage with Echo and the Soulbind is a Deity's form of marriage.
Yea 4 wives(technically). Echo, as you are the A'khan, she is considered your wife. Then, the 3 goddesses Maia, Gaia and Malanthe as you have performed soul binding with them

Yeah, I'm not happy about it either. I'll play again in an update or two but will drop it if things remain as they are. The very least I expect is for Eliza to freak out, because she's been clear on multiple occasions that she desperately wants the MC all for herself.
If you committed to Echo, it would be a quasi-romantic marriage, at least in practice. I don't know if there's some kind of ceremony if you're on her path.
It does this constantly, the same with Tazzy in the bath and Pearl on several occasions. I wish more scenes would be skipped when not on someone's path.
Yeah, I got that. I mean, the MC got his poison immunity from the soul of a goblin berserker. When going to the island, this "trait" was nerfed until his magical immune system worked around the shield. This makes me wonder about the nature of these traits. Would a goblin berserker on the island be weaker? Or is the MC's magic replicating traits of souls instead of inheriting them?

Well 3 of them are deities, i think you can reject all 3...haven't tried that thought
But frankly with 2 of them it felt really rushed and bad too, like you had spoken once or twice with them...they basically get the same treatment as tribal girl nr 20...

honestly I thought it made sense not to bring Eliza because he was in a rush to save the pirates when the arc started so unless he can carry her the entire time he is running across the water without slowing down. It sucks but it's one of the things I did think made sense.

Same. Maia won me over, but if I knew breastfeeding was involved, I would have declined. Kinks like these really should be optional. We're asked about viewing lesbian scenes, etc., so I'm surprised that the MC being a milk drinker isn't optional.
Gaia and Malanthe I didn't actually care for, but I figured the MC would want to include them for what they did for Maia.
Yeah, same here. They also had no idea how long the MC would be away for. Even when he was on the island, he still didn't know how long it would take him.
You have sex with her as part of the ceremony after giving the speech to the people (if you’re on her path). I understand why people might be upset about calling Echo your wife, but technically it makes sense considering she was the queen and after completing the trials, you become the king. Personally, I just hope Pearl or Kira aren't sidelined for too long. I’d love for us to go on an adventure with her again, alongside Eliza and all the other ladies. It would be fun to see some jealousy and banter between Pearl and Eliza.
