id guess you downloaded , or you ran the .exe of an older version without realizing it assuming you didn't delete previous versions. ( ive done that before with this game since it updates once a month) Since that screen shot clearly shows it was 0.3.7 and not 0.4.0 cause I downloaded it no problem last update.

no idea then cause that was the last scene of the old build. have no clue what to tell you other than try to re download it then maybe was a bad download don't know. If you still got no luck maybe just wait the next build should be out for public in about a week 1/2 or so.

I downloaded 0.4.0 version from mixdrop and its labeled as 0.4.0. Today i downloaded 0.4.0 again but this time from gofile source and its working, now i started chapter 5. In both cases i used multimod for 0.4.0.
It's always a good idea to scroll few a back images like the save screen suggests, that way you will never run into an issue, however this could easily have been a bad link that had the previous version. glad you got it working!

Version 4.0 was released in March.
4.1 is scheduled to release to the public on April 19th.
1 update per month. What "really long time" are you talking about?

You have to take a look that some are only able to cum while playing the newest update of their favorite AVN. So, only once a month is a really long time, think of the blueballing while waiting. You really should have mercy with these people.

updates are literally once a month, sure some can be small but if you love this game like me that play this update to update not really not long of a wait especially compared to other games that can take from 4 months to a year. Now maybe you mean for a full chapter to be finished then maybe I can see your point, tho im unsure how long on average that takes this dev since I play update to update.

However, I just finished 3.6 and transferred my Save to 4.0 and when I tried to start it up I went into the crash screen, got a "couldn't find a place to stop rolling back" error. I tried going back to 3.6 and going back a few times to different screens and each time it failed. I guess I'll need to start over. I guess I'll wait for 4.1. Bleh.

Sorry to hear this mate, it's not an issue other's have had, Did you use a mod by chance in your old save? That can often cause save errors if you then try to play without an updated mod or a different mod.
Either way 4.1 is right around the corner.
