So Jaina Diana is fun, hope we get to see plenty more of her.
Per the dev, she won't be around constantly due to her duties as Admiral, but we'll meet up from time to time like Pearl and Kira.
He won't be able to steamroll since it seems that the Elize(vampire) and the new blonde may be the powerhouses that will "Help" the MC defeat the "bad guy".
There is pretty much no other reason to introduce an "OP" girl that seems to have the hots for MC.
Honestly, I could see them training together a bit. Eliza is the only one in the group now that can remotely keep up with MC, but she lacks magic and is less experienced than MC. Diana can clearly keep up and seems to have equal or greater training.

Rin might eventually also serve a similar purpose when she and MC finally met up again, but from what I remember that's not likely for at least another chapter.

You're definitely correct though in that MC seems to be assembling a team of powerful women that will probably be important in helping him fight.

lol I don't recall, has anyone actually told the MC that there is a cult working to bring balthazar back, and that he's the only hope to stop or defeat him? If not then his current life is acceptable, other than not pursuing taron when he had the chance.
Wait, can we join this cult?

Virtually guarantee they're somehow involved in the death of MC's parents, so I suspect that's a big "no."
Maybe. Pretty sure Taron was but why would Balthazar worshippers go after the parents of a Nephilim? Wouldn't they want to recruit him instead?

I suspect if we don't destroy if we become "evil" later we will be the leader of it or they will worship us . As if I recall correctly this cult worships Balthazar
As I see it, MC has 3 goals

1) Find Eliza - done
2) Protect Eliza and keep her safe - meh ... sort of, when we find the time and if we happen to be in town and aren't busy getting our dick wet.
3) Take our revenge on Taron

As long as the cult is cool with these goals - would help protect and definitely wouldn't harm the spouse of the Nephilim and doesn't care enough about Taron to save him - it seems like a good way to get back on track.

I think it was Taron acting alone and not the Cult why hey killed them. Unless they need the MC to be stronger for something like Balthazar to take over his body who knows.

On an unrelated topic. While I kind of do like how we aren't with Eliza for this part of the game as I think she would get in the way of some character deveolopment. I know you won't agree since you only care about Eliza. I found it kind of odd and rushed in how Eliza just told the MC to go without having any real conversation or thought about giving her a blood supply incase he is gone for longer then anticipated.

Yeah ... Apart from the date with Eliza this whole update kinda sucked for me because it's all stuff I wouldn't have done in the first place - wouldn't have gone to the rescue, wouldn't have helped the pirate girls, might have helped Diana although she doesn't seem like she needed it. And now MC is off on an adventure that I have zero interest in. I want to join the cult.

Even if Taron did this as part of the cult - I somehow imagine that a cult like this, that is only really interested in power would turn to Taron and go "Yeah, I know you did it for us, but now he's one of us, outranks you and wants to kill you so ... sucks to be you I guess." And yeah I don't feel like MC treats Eliza well at all. He talks a good game but most of the time she doesn't seem like she's a very high priority for him. I'm not surprised by Eliza telling him to go, except for the occasional bout of jealousy she seems pretty selfless when it comes to MC.

It's possible that MC being Nephilim is seen as a potential future threat to Balthazar or the cult's goals also. If that is the case, they may have tried to eliminate him early before he could grow into his power.

but the question still remains why does Taron want him to get stronger?

I suspect that Taron is secretly working againt the cult more or less.

The cult wants taron as vessel for balthazar and i think taron isnt too happy about that lol, i guess he either wants to sacrifice the mc as a vessel or turn the mc against the cult.

That are my guesses at this point

Yeah, I suspect this is a possibility as well. I need to replay some of the early game to check my memory on some stuff though. If I remember right, I have a suspicion that the cult became aware of MC and Taron was sent to kill him and his parents. But he may have seen an opportunity and just killed the parents and reported MC dead too. That would potentially give MC a reprieve, and time and motive to grow in power. I'm this case, both Taron and the cult would be responsible for MC's parents deaths, but for different motives.

That would be a shame - if it was just Taron acting on his own, and they will accept MC and Eliza as allies rather than a sacrifice, then the cult is a pretty attractive option.

honestly even on a Dark path playthrough I wouldn't want anything to do with the Cult id want to burn them down.

No, they are weird freaks and morons with dumb religious rituals.

You do you tho.

I would be ashamed to have such a pathetic cult lmao
