IMO he'd be better off doing multiple paths instead of monthly updates - nearly all of the big games on steam have paths - but I get that some Devs aren't in this to make money or build a reputation. Do you think that, in the end, they all end up living with MC - even if you rejected all of them? Or will there come a point when choices start to matter?

I believe there will be different endings/epilogues (or I'd be wasting my time doing over 15 paths. LOL).

This is based on what he said 2 years ago and I haven't seen anything to contradict it since.

on top of that I plan to do some epilogues depending on which girls you have romanced.
Many choices serve the purpose of building your trust with characters, and at a later date some scenes will only happen if you have enough points, so small choices don't directly affect your ending, however when they add up you might not be able to finish with a girl if her points are too low."

I see the path flag as a 'yes you are interested', but it has not become an official relationship yet, until the major choice.

For e.g. right now in my (almost) harem route I am on Frida's path (because we fooled around a couple of times), but I am NOT on her relationship path, because there has been no Major Choice yet. I will constantly get choices with her and if at anytime I say no I'll go off her path, or vice versa, until the Major Choice.

Whereas I constantly turned Kira down and am NOT on her path, and when I turned her down at the Major Choice I stayed of her Relationship Path as well.

Thanks for confirming it for me. This backs up what I seemed to find earlier, once that relationship flag goes up, it's permanent. The only exception to this was Eliza because her relationship flag was messed with in earlier chapters and her major choice didn't come until chapter 5.


Edit- Adding this on because of the talk about points. I haven't seen points get used at all yet but it makes sense if Buu is doing a multiple episode project to just stockpile them all towards an ending (like how points influence your ending in Melody).

i picked up kingdom come when it was on sale for next to nothing (5 USD for game and all DLC) but never got around to actually playing it sadly so and FF7 rebirth is another one that had me itching for more but of course gotta wait years

Probably, I'm still only interested in Eliza though. So far I have zero interest in any of them to the point where I roll my eyes when there's a new one.

I don't mind some of the awkward writing/interactions or lack of cohesion in parts, but it's killing me that MC/Eliza travel without baggage and look so pristine all the time.

You'd expect that people, that bitch so much about sleeping on the ground, would at least get a fkn blanket or a tent?! I like many things in here so far, but it's a grind to get past the lack of sense... I can only turn my brain off so much.

It's development time. Buu aims for a consistent release schedule which means some things require shortcuts or just flat out ignoring. I don't know how far along you are but there is a tent later.

This did feel off to me early on too. Though one thing I'll say is that there's an extreme shortage of backpacks and shit like that available in Daz especially in a fantasy style, and they're a huge pain in the ass to work with. Price of Power had them for their characters, but they had to spend a lot of time customizing some assets and fiddling with them to get them to work.

Eh, I don't fault the game or dev for the lack of 'things I specifically would like to see'. There's so much you could do, all with varying degrees of overall impact and payout. It just so happens, that some of the things that didn't make the cut, are high on my personal list and get noticed immediately. (Lack of grime/dirt, no physical inventory, empty rooms. General stuff that adds immersion/realism, but without actual big impact on the story or world. Fluff.)
