true, but also yes. for one there is a 3rd group on the island, whoever has use of magic to trap people crossing close by. also there is a power on the island that according to the story, many outsiders covet, and once it is rediscovered and travel to and from the island is restored, people are going to want it. add the fact that once magic is restored to the whole island, likely all the women there will have access to it. so an island of god artifacts, ancient power and magic, and full of trained women warriors. yeah, outsiders definitely want access to that resource. this is just my thinking with the info we have been given on the islands past intrigues with outsiders.
Yeah there is a third group which sinks passing ships...but i don't think they are another tribe.
They try to restore there link with the gods, so they can hear their prayers again...it's not like all the women will gain magic or power up. Neither do i remember anything about restoring the magic of the island, the only magical is their jungles.
Also only a handfull of them are trained warriors, their hunters...and they aren't much better then a normal soldier, with exception of the two who lead the warriors/hunters, with the magical spears.
Not sure what what god artifacts you're talking about, we have seen 3 magical item so far, the two spears and the necklace the MC wears and they are good, but certainly nothing godly about.
Neither do i remember the outsiders were especially interested in the island before, except for the one group which decided to enslave them and they were there for the women.
the king is already on the path of consolidating power at sea, including control of the pirate held island for purposes of commerce trade and whatnot. his whole drive in marrying off his daughter is to gain the backing of a political/financial/military force that will help him resolidify his hold of the kingdom which is waning. MC becoming king of the magic island and its warriors as well as boyfriend to the twin pirate queens that control the other island, while also being a man the king trusts with his daughter and his daughter holds affection for.
Yeah, the king wanted the pirate island and secure trade routes, he did (with pretty much no resistance), the admiral took it. Kira and Pearl are really not important for the pirate island at this point, nor do they control the island.
The island is, as far as i can see it, meaningles for the king, the best benefit probably that there will be no more ships sunk, secure trade routes, yay.
The island has what ? A hundred maybe two hundred or so tribeswomen, maybe a couple of dozen warriors, which aren't much superior to any other soldier, nor do they have any magic. They have no spcial ressources or anything either....so from a political/financial/military point of view, it is meaningles.
edit-cause i didnt want to make a second post but still felt the need to vent---im so tired of this island arc that ive been pretty much skipping so when an update comes where MC leaves ive already got my save primed to get back to eliza, and hopefull luna... serious this island arc is crap to me. it is the second most long drawn out plot arc so far, only failing to top the list due to MC completely ignoring taron plot arc.
On that i wholeheartedly agree.
