At some point I'd like to do a survey of users and then a sort of interview with developers of various games to see what it is that sets the top Lis apart, because most games seem to have a few favorites and then it falls off pretty sharply. So are the best Lis based on someone the dev knows personally or ... what exactly is the difference because most of the time I don't think its intentional. (exceptions being things like Between Two Words - where if you don't like Hannah you won't like the game.)

honestly id like that game even if I hated her cause of the story and setting one of the few I can kind of get immersed and sucked into

Not trying to get too off topic, just find it interesting because I don't think Devs intentionally create Lis who are going to be disliked or mediocre and most of the time they don't seem to know who the favorite or favorites are going to be. I've even seen a few kinda blow up because players don't like a particular Li - so I'm wondering if there is something in the process that creates an S tier li or if it's just random.

It depends on the dev. Some write with a preferred LI or two in mind and add other LIs for flavor. Other devs will try and write a balanced story for each LI. Each dev has there own 'thing' going on when it comes to LIs.

Just did a speed run with the WT on - made dark path choices except 2 (helping Eliza in the forest and giving Bori his ring back) also chose intimidation over persuasion in every case and earned zero trust points with anyone except Eliza, Pearl got one point in a choice where you had to earn either 1 or 2, Bori got a few, and Maia and Lucid each got a few (Lucid is my 2nd favorite girl in this so far - but she's a god so probably not a Li). So everyone else is at either 0 or a negative number for trust points and I should be locked onto Eliza's romance path but locked out of the romance paths with Sylph, Luna, Amelia, and Pearl. So far none of that changes anything with the story - even people whose romance paths you are locked out of still talk about you like you're their future husband.

It would be interesting to see what happens if you took the Eliza friendship path but I don't think anyone did.

I actually plan to do that with some of my other favorites where I keep Eliza as a friend but romance only Amelia , Luna and Alice maybe Peral will see pending on updates. All as solo paths But won't do that for a long time

I have over 10 paths with Eliza friendship only, you miss the lewd scenes, but the story is basically the same.

yeah mostly gonna do them way far in the future not anytime soon. Like for endings or if something major happens like if Eliza can die cause I think Buu said some can die eventually in the story

It's only because I set them up a while ago one day when I was filling in time. They don't take much time each update to skip through them.

Eliza solo and full (almost) harem are the 2 paths I take the time and go through properly, the rest are just ctrl-skip and take about 2 minutes each update.

Especially if they can choose who dies.

(FYI, iirc, there is coding for deaths in the game for everyone - including Eliza).

It's just interesting to me because it's not looks alone - there are "hot" lis in many games who are not very popular so it's not just looks. It might partly be when they are introduced in the story, and I think part of it is "having to work for it" - at least to me, the Lis who take some effort I seem to like more than the ones who love you on sight (but not always - because Eliza for one thing). I just wondered if there is something in their origin (who/what they were inspired by) that makes them good.

Not me. Not wanting someone around and wanting them dead are not the same thing. IRL there are lots of people who I've made leave me alone without killing them. I would have killed the pirate girls for their betrayal, or at least would not have gone back to help them when they called.

Same mostly. I would have killed the pirate girls, I wouldn't have gone to help them, If I was approaching the ship and saw Diana raise her sword, I would have slowed down a bit. I'd still kill them if I got the option. There's no one else I really want dead though. I just want them to go away or at least accept that absolutely nothing is going to happen between me and them. If something happened to Eliza I think this game would be over for me. The others I just don't care about, at all and I want to stop hanging out with them.

Yeah, if something happened to Eliza I would burn the world out of revenge - but even with her gone, I wouldn't be interested in any of the other Lis.

Selena, I understand. She deliberately put Eliza in mortal danger, and if she truly believed that Eliza was not in danger (as she claimed), then her sister was in no danger either, and there is no excuse. And she showed no remorse.

Kira, I understand. She deliberately put MC in danger and even admitted he was in danger, but no apology, just a what's done is done.

Pearl stole a chalice to save her sister's life. She had no idea that it was to give Eliza her legs back. And she was extremely remorseful and apologetic afterwards. I'd be confident that Eliza has stolen something in the past too.

Meredith, Slyph & Alice all thought the couple of hours after Eliza broke her back was the perfect time to hit on MC (and they were all aware of it). That's a pretty sick betrayal and inadvertently put Eliza in danger as MC is trying to get back to her.

I still see the theft as a betrayal a) of me because it was the reason for the voyage and b) of Eliza - and I do not care if it was deliberate or not. Selena's sister didn't have anything directly to do with the betrayal but we still got an option to kill her. So yeah, to me both of the pirate girls deserved to die, or at the very least I would not have had any further dealings with them, I certainly wouldn't go to their rescue.

I think killing either Kira or Peral is to much personally for me they haven't done anything to warrant death but not forgive them and cut them out of the MC's life and not help yeah I can see that much. Tho i'd still disagree about that when it comes to Peral but Kira and Peral is a package deal so yeah...
