No. Hell the dark path itself is barely fleshed out at all.
LIs in this are basically light switches. Turn them on for sex, turn them off for friendship. That's it. Sometimes you have to flip the switch a lot.

There is no "dark path". This developer realized that branching paths would require effort so it's pretty much abandoned.

i'm waiting till Season 2 to have an opinion on it. I recall the dev basically said the Dark Path stuff won't really come into play till S2 and S3 and the purpose of the Dark Path choices is more or less to lock you in for S2 / S3 when the MC gets his wings.

There WAS a plot, in the beginning... then the dev ran out of imagination and started copy-paste LC.

This is correct. Light/Dark branching in Season 1 is mostly just for flavor, but will have a bigger impact in future Seasons.

There's a scene in this update where MC is talking to Orianna on the throne and in the next render, it's the shot from before she shows up, throne is empty but they are still talking. It's a one off mistake for the update but also par for the course when it comes to Buu's render work.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't understand how there's so many time saving measures in place (which lead to mistakes) when he has a backlog of content ready.

When it comes to MC's appearance, I doubt it'd make a huge difference since there's comparatively few renders of him rather than other characters. But yeah, it would at least increase the workload some.

My guess for the light or dark path will be decide with what we will do about Taron. For me he will be the final opponent of season 1 and we will have to decide to spar him for a trial (light path) or just kill him (dark path). Taron is just one of the many ennemies we have.

so far the dark path options is to either kill bandits or spare them or steal or not steal. Although killing the Bounty Hunter was cool. But since Corruption is one of the Genre Tags for this neat story, liked to see the MC 's choices effect the girls around him, either changing them for the better or bringing them to the dark side making them very open and lewd and on board with Revenge.

Maybe it is just me but every update introduces a handful of new females that will probably serve no purpose beyond a boring sex scene. The entire island premise is honestly boring af and i really wish the dev would get back on track with the story and the main characters. Maybe it's just me.

Maybe it is just me but every update introduces a handful of new females that will probably serve no purpose beyond a boring sex scene. Nah, it's just been going on for a while now, so it's pointless to complain.
I'm fast forwarding this entire arc, will stop doing that once MC is back to "normal story".
Whole arc is boring, pointless and I have 0 interest in any of the girls there.
Considering story is, well, complete and utter clusterfuck of nothing for a while now, there's nothing lost by skipping it all.

Perhaps VN will go back to being great once we're back on mainland, but I'm a pessimist in this case. Too many filler girls to make it all properly developed. I expect lots of sex scenes, few minor story bits, then tons of sex again.
Could be wrong though, could be wrong.

I feel that this last update (5.6) centers more on sex scenes. Since the last time I played it (5.1), there were not so many sex scenes. I thought that in this update (5.6), we would meet the Arugoh tribe or even, some of its women of this tribe. Something that baffled me is (this is personal opinion): we know that Buu puts a background every time the MC unlocks a power (manipulation of mana, goblin resistance, rejuvenating touch, etc.), then because there was no background when he unlocked the magic of purification or the arcane magic of moon? I think that for me, that is striking, because with that it is known what things can do every power that unlocks the MC. For purification magic, I would have put the color of gold or yellow lyrics and for the arcane magic of moon, some purple letters

98% of the girls are so pathetic and lack any kind of believeable character at this point, they will follow him happily like puppydogs wherever he goes, he could start eating babys for breakfast and they would still adore him

Yeah the only thing I liked about the island route is Pearl.

I wouldn't necessarily say that update 5.7 was bad, but it was largely just stalling and introducing more pointless LIs. Riven and Orianna are actually interesting, but despite having good designs, Ria and Alyze are just filler at this point. Sivir could be interesting, but we already went through the underhanded priestess schtick with Marah.

We had to go through 2 different caves in this update and there was literally no point to either of those sections. The only things of consequence that happened were arriving in Arugoh, sparring with Riven, and talking to Orianna.

Agree. Orianna makes sense since she's the "target." Riven tosses in a member from the rival tribe (it would be weird if there were none interested). Ria and Alyze are just like the guards from the other camp, so we've done that already. I'm hoping Sivir isn't Marah 2.0 but not holding my breath.

I joked that the first cave was a filler. The second cave literally was a sex scene filler.

I'm not sure what people expect when we get off the island either. It was like this before the island and has been like this ever since we made it to capital. The moment he met Kira and Pearl, the game changed course permanently. He's got content ready to deliver up till March of next year so unless he somehow developed a new style in the process (why would he?) we're just gonna get back to the capital with more of the same.
