ok one question how do you think spikes work?
weird tone, but i'll still answer:
- the ones on top, thousands of years of mineral deposits carried there by way of water. (btw, stalactites and not stalagmites right?)
- the one(s) from his power:

I laughed at the overkill of it at first too but realized later that it was simply introducing the player to a new power so that when he uses it later against Riven, it's already established he knows what he is doing. I like how she evaded it though.
idk, it makes sense in Riven's case, he doesn't want to kill her so he doesn't have to kill them all ^^'
And totally agree, classy for her A'Khan ;)

It's not just keeping up with MC's power, but also his immortality. Eliza is the canon LI and Buu clearly didn't want to write the type of story where Eliza gets old and dies while MC lives on unageing forever.

Her vampirism will also be a lot more relevant when she eventually visits the nation ruled by vampires with MC.
Ah yea, how would a mc with god like powers in a universe with magic ever be able to get around old age.

i mean actually spikes. plus for the spikes to kill the beast they would need to reach its head and there's no guarantee it would even step on them heck it might even doge them while a big pillar that is almost as big as its entire body? it isn't dodging that, and with the spikes on the roof he can just use a basic big stone pillar he can change the size of easily to push it against multiple spikes that are already made. and no he cant create multiple spikes easier then he can create a pillar plus depending on the amount and sharpness it will only injure the beast or even cost more energy then the pillar plus he has to make multiple precise spikes that hit a fast moving target dead on that actually kill it its like trying to stop a small car with small glass shards in the tires instantly, its much easier to just put up a concrete pole that is in the ground then to hope the small car gets stopped by the small stuff.

he's holding the beast by the "muzzle", and that's what allow him to make a giant pillar of rock just where the animal is in the first place. And yes, a single, much smaller "pile"/spear/thin pilar through the beast heart is definitive, and much easier than a giant pilar that ought to crumble under its own weight (but, magic).

he has no idea where its heart is so its MUCH EASIER to just spawn a big pillar and push it towards spikes that will either kill it or slow it down enough for them to escape second off you have no idea how rocks work either do you? plus if you think that should collapse then i hope you never visit the grand canyon plus it will make your head explode how much stuff there that should crumble under its own weight but doesn't. heck look at the pillars in the ruins of Rome that are bigger then that one and weigh more yet they don't crumble at all.

with the climate I expect there and the amount of trekking they do (plus the various stuff she rubs there - cocoa, citrus...), looks like a lethal weapon in its own right indeed :) Also I do expect her to be able to take a weapon from the enemy if need be - I totally agree with you tho, but besides what she can do (light on her feet, (sword-)fighting, looking at fishies) I don't feel like she ever had much of a personality...?

A power he doesn't have yet, and doesn't know anyone that does, other than the Divines such as Lucid who got around the mortality thing by... creating vampires.

We started the game going on a magical pirate adventure. I'm sure the dev could have thought of something besides turning her into yet another mindless drone in the female harem army the MC has.

I fail to see how her being something other than human caused her to be a mindless drone.

Honest question, you don't think Eliza's writing has suffered long term? Not saying that being a vampire had anything to do with it. To me it just feels like the Eliza that was with us pre pirates was written differently (imo better) than Eliza has been since being turned into a vampire.

I do think it is not as engaging as earlier, but we also have gone a long time without seeing her much (if you've been following the Island arc in particular). And it's not uncommon for early relationships to be more engaging to write than established ones. Being happy in a relationship is not quite as exciting as the early stages when everything is new and you're constantly learning about the other partner. Now, you can certainly do things to keep it engaging, but that usually involves adding some type of a conflict to spice things up. It'll be interesting to see if anything like that happens in the next chapter once MC is back in Luxenford.

Mainly, I just wanted to express that I don't think her being a vampire has killed what made her an interesting character.
