They did say Echo is a "major LI", but didn't mention other tribal girls as major LIs. They use a bit more granular categorization though compared to just main/side LI, so some of the others could potentially still have some importance (even if not as much as Echo and the other major LIs).

Personal, I have a theory that the adoration/worship of all the tribal girls will be important for MC's upcoming Ascension, since particularly with the last update it's becoming apparent that some of them see him (as A'kan) practically as a god.
You shouldn't take it so literally when a women screams 'oh god'...i mean, understandable Josef thought the same...but yeah:whistle:

On a more serious note, it's not a bad idea, but i can't see how the worship of a couple of dozens humans will help the MC to reach godhood...if it was that easy there would be no shortage of them.

Like the more people that worship him, the stronger he gets?
Something to that effect, yes. Maia gives a bit of information in the latest update regarding gods, souls, and how they relate to power and whatnot, but I suspect there's still stuff we don't know. I'm sure gods solicit worship for a reason.

I doubt on its own their worship would do that, but 1) most people don't have a Divine for a father and 2) most people won't be soulbound to three goddesses either (likely around the end of Season 1, which seems like a perfect time for Ascension).

Well, since 5.9 pretty much forced me to replay from the beginning i realized how fucking much content is already in it.
And it really makes sense. Not only there are more variables that are put to use (harem path) leadership. charisma, persuasion and inimidation. There are many more characters intoduced and the story got not only more renders, but also more lore.
I started Friday evening and i am still in chapter 5 lol. And i shouldnt have killed Irene in my first pt :p

Great thing is I planned to replay the game from the start anyways tho I was gonna probably wait 1 or 2 updates after we finish the Island arc just to get the ball rolling and see some Eliza.

Well, the first time we visit Maia, she mentions it. She says that the more worshippers or believers a deity has, the stronger it becomes. But when a deity loses followers or a cult is lost, the deity weakens, dies or disappears. That's why I think the island's arch was created; as another comment said, the tribe girls' cult could be key or help the MC's ascension. Although the MC already had people who believed or trusted him (Rin, Eliza, Silfide, Kira, Perla, etc.), it wasn't enough for the protagonist to ascend. Maia told Lucido when he went to visit her that she felt the MC's first ascension was near; what if that's what they're trying to hint at?

if this is the plan then it changes my opinion on the whole arch

Yes, that's what Maia says the first time we visit her; when the MC wants to find a solution to Eliza's vampirism. Check the words she says, when you are in that part of the story. Also check what Maia says to Lucido, when he goes to visit her.

Why, it changes nothing ? The arc is still +90% filler and unimportant side girls...
In fact, I prefer filler to the developer abandoning the game. I've played several games labeled "Superpowers" or "Magic," and believe me, many developers abandon them. Here are a few examples: Genesis, Bite: Season One, The Falling Reloaded, Valkyrion Rising, among others. They had the potential to be good games, but they were abandoned. Well, I don't know if they're abandoned, but they haven't been updated for several months or maybe years.

Buu isn't gonna abandon this, hell, he has renders built up until March of next year. Doesn't change the fact that most of this island arc was filler content. If we cut out all the random sex (and stuck to sex with people that will apparently matter like Echo, the goddesses, and occasionally Pearl), we'd already be back in the capital, ignoring Taron more.

I feel like it was - well not really abandoned, just set aside for a long time, like Buu went "well, I can't just have them go kill Taron, that's too easy. I know, I'll have them play a different game for most of a year, and then come back to the plot.

Beats me. I complain about that every time it happens (which is almost every other update at this point). It also explains how he can have such a backlog of renders built up.
I first noticed it in the castle arc when some of the sex scenes were almost the exact same sans some extra dialogue. It happened again in the island arc, twice.

Edit- I'm wondering if it will be addressed in the revamp but not holding my breath.

Well, I was just saying that some developers leave their games abandoned. Well, I'm in no hurry to go back to the capital if all the MC does is have bodyguard missions, or scenes with Eliza in the room. To be honest, some scenes in the capital are the ones that bore me; but let's see how it is in the redesign of the game (I haven't played the redesign yet, I'm waiting for v5.9).
