This game would be so much better if every love interest would stop gushing over the mc. 90% of the Li are devoid of any personality aside from that. Even the characters that start out good just decline as it goes on. Eliza in the early chapters was great then is just written as not doing anything other than sitting and thinking about the mc. Same with Kira she was nice at first because she was one of the few love interests that didn't just gush over the mc and nothing else but then turns exactly into that the moment they reach that island.

Hello all, I'm replaying the game to see everything that BuuPlays added and I'm at the part where the MC and Pearl are headed to the Island, soooooo, I curious about everyone's opinion regarding this, I have a Patreon membership with BuuPlays and another Dev that I obviously can't name but both games take place in the same time era, in the other game the MC has mentioned this several times through out the game about him living longer than his companions/lovers and this deeply troubles him, in Nephilim the MC will also live centuries along with Eliza, but how will BuuPlays handle all the other love interests that will die way before the MC does like Alice, Luna, Pearl( who is one of my top favorites right behind Eliza), Amelia, Merida, Kira, all the women from the island, Diana who is stunning, and especially the ruler of the island( I can't remember her name) and I'm certain that I forgot a couple of love interests, the MC truly loves all these females so I'm curious about everyone's opinion on what will happen? Maybe the MC will have the power to extend their lives? Will BuuPlays just let them all die before the MC? What does everyone think?

To be fair, worrying about getting paper cuts is valid.
There are three options that I can see:
- The MC becomes a god and extends the lives of those closest to him.
- Everybody dies (bad/evil ending)
- The epilogue happens, and nothing is even mentioned about this besides "and they all live happily ever after".

So, during my replay of the game, something occurred to me. When Eliza drank from the chalice and became, and I quote, "a direct descendant of Lucid's bloodline", wouldn't that make her MC's blood-related cousin? It's been established that Lucid is one of MC's aunts, and Eliza is now effectively her pureblooded daughter.
I just find it a bit funny that buu suddenly decided to throw in a bunch of forced, unnatural dialogue about how MC's aunt and cousins are not blood-related(even though Patreon still considers that incest), but still has quite a lot of blood-related incest left in, and even added more of it in the same update.

Looks like the variable it's supposed to be checking is "maia_relationship", not "mai_relationship". Seeing a lot of people report that one, but not everyone gets it, so it may be version dependent. According to posts a few pages back, completely removing, redownloading, and doing a clean install seemed to fix it.
I mean there is a pretty big (possible) difference between descendant and daughter/whatever, no? And i dont think drinking out of a chalice turns her magically into Lucid's daughter.
Its more the divines themself who could be a incest problem as lucid seems to be the MCs (true) aunt and somehow is considered angel daddys sis. Not sure if all divines are siblings.
And yeah the dialogue was so fucking unnatural hahahahaha, we have to keep the ruse up to not upset Flynn and Sabby (????????). Im sure their world would break down if they knew their cousin whom they saw the last time when they were 10, isnt their real cousin, gruesome.
