seems to me you need to know some of the stuff on the island for the the story the way it's developing.

Could you point out what? I'm generally curious if I might have missed something important.

The way I see it, there are only four things in this chapter for the story that i consider part of the story development atm:
- the goddesses
- malpheon's talisman
- taz- & orianna-relationship
- off-island development (luxenford & looter's bay)

The taz 'relationship' has no real development... you find her unconscious, you bath with her some time after she woke up which results into sex (i know AVN but still, i enjoy a bit more development then this...)

Pearl has only some development on the very first day you arrive at the island after that its pretty much only sex scenes (again, AVN i know).
I wonder why she did not take her swords with her to the island after their boat got crashed / attacked there? Could have been a topic for the people on the island as they (the desecration generation) have never seen swords before, they only know spears as Vex mentions.

You kill a mythical beast (the snake) yet you don't drain its essence to gain something from it?
Same for the 'warg' in the cave as you head to the second tribe for the Maia temple.. missed opportunities imo..

If you were to remove the parts with all the island ladies and just made it with MC exploring A'nai temple and all the goddesses temples and meeting the goddesses, you would have had the same experience (pretty much)

I also found variables set for Miyo's sister who is missing in the unexplored northern part of the island which let me to believe that Buu might have wanted to extend the island part to include that too.
I set all the variables if you choice to skip the island experience. So to the game it looks like you did everything on the island.

I dont know what or if the island ladies play a part later in the story, but to me, we could have skipped all their parts and not missed much.

TLDR; The only real story development (imo) that happens is what happens in luxenford, looter's bay, the goddess development and getting malpheon's talisman. I left all of those except the talisman aquisition in with this mod if you choise to skip the island experience. You can still choice to do the island as well which gives you the OG experience for those that want it.

Right now, there's no reason to fully commit to the one or the other. We just don't know how (and if) these points will come into play in the future.

Yeh that's the common problem with these kind of harem games. When it started we invested a lot of time with Eliza, it took a long time before they had sex, and now he add's 10 new sex partners every f*cking episode...

There are plenty of Harem games that manage to flesh out LI. The problem is Buu's writing not the fact it's a harem. He only really cares about quantity and just writes every female character to want to fuck the mc right away because it's easier and takes less time than actually writing them

I'd say it does if you are aiming for a good ending or bad ending whenever the game ends. mostly because it's mentioned in the game the only other Nephilim to exist became evil because of their choices. ultimately, it's your choice

Oh yes, while creating the island skip as I went through the variables Buu uses you can already tell he's going to have Lux (the sorceress lady thats on team balthazar) as a LI... there are variables for trust, relationship and path for her. Honestly it would have been nice if there was a lady not jumping on MC cock and actually being a bad guy for once...

I feel like i can already predict that the entire assassin crew (all ladies) are going to be an addition to the Harem at some point. Them hunting Rin was a big misunderstanding that gets solved with MC cock...

Playing back through from the beginning of the game since I hadn't done so in a very long time, and several new story lines were added, including the one involving Maya and Shane. None of that existed back when I played through this part the first time.
