I'm shocked you guys are praising the terrible writing and stupid perspective/pov mistakes. It's like you guys want the dev to fail.
The POV is fine, maybe an option to turn off the female POV would be a good idea, but a lot of people find it a hassle to go searching for the Reminiscence room every time a sex scene happens

Also, it's porn, having good writing is a bonus but I am not really expecting the next Thug Hero Party or Rance when I download a game. As of now, it is a fairly typical NTR game with some pretty good art, but things can always improve later on

Since you guys are all brilliant writers and English majors with masters degree; who are clearly better writers than Quentin Tarantino himself, can you explain why you prefer Third Person Omniscient over First/Second Person Mixed or Third Person Limited? Netorare God (this game) uses Third Person Omniscient perspective.

How does Third Person Omniscient perspective increase the erotic stimulation experienced from NTR?

At least 20 of you facepalmed by post, so I'd love to here your in-depth academic reasoning.

I'm sure you all researched which writing perspective is better for NTR, and you all came to the conclusion it's Third Person Omniscient, but why? That goes against everything I've researched from tons of NTR games I've played. The NTR games that use a mix of first/second person often deliver the strongest erotic impact; aka mind fuck, max mega erotic stimulation where you just cum really really fucking hard, and this is what gets patreon subs.

EDIT: Are you ashamed of liking NTR, so you prefer Third Person Omniscient perspective over First/Second Person mixed, because it's not as shameful, because the perspective distances you from the erotic stimulation? If you just give into your shame, fuck your pride, you can cum at least 2-3 times harder from the first person/second person mixed.

(Moderators: This post is a sign of respect towards the game Netorare God. The fact that this game would trigger such a discussion means the dev is on the right track. Please do not delete this post, the information gained from it can be very, very valuable).

mr netorare god if you are taking suggestions I remember playing Curse of Kubel and it had a narrator log on the left part of the screen, it's rpgm so it could be a viable alternative to your narrator/immersion/text slog issue, your problem is not terrible writing at its core, its just all over the place + 50% irrelevant. A narrator log can help you cut down on a shitload of your text box and make it a trigger after you walk by a relevant NPC, it can also serve as a sort of quest log/reminder of sorts. I dont have experience with RPGM to go into detail into how it works but im sure it can be programmed as an event trigger. you should check out curse of Kubel, I'm sure you'll like that system, youre still early in development I dont think it will fuck over your workload

I still do not understand why this game sparked such a debate regarding writing in NTR, as opposed to literally every other game that has a similar point of view
The game lets you name the main character, but then adopts a Third Person Omniscient writing perspective. If the game insists on a third person narrative perspective, then the dev should adopt Third Person Limited at least; this means you can only read the minds of one character, the MC, but you can still narrate what's going on from the invisible narrator.

Here's the problem, Third Person Omniscient puts a huge distance between you and the emotions that can potentially turn you on. I'm curious why everyone here prefers that vs going all in?

Do the patreons not want to be EXTREMELY turned on? Do they only want to be partially turned on? Is first/second person mixed too much of a turn on, too intense? If you want to be extremely turned on, like VERY intense emotions, you'll want a mix of first & second person perspective. If you only want to be mildly turned on, then you can distance yourself from the emotions through a third person perspective; omniscient or limited, but IMO this sucks, don't be such a pussy, accept what turns you on and GO ALL IN.

In case you're wondering about the terms I'm using, they're just common terms used to describe writing perspectives and can be easily googled, if anyone is confused.

There's something going on here.

I love NTR.
The other people also love NTR.

However, for some reason there's a difference in what writing perspective works for us.

It seems a lot of people prefer Third Person Omnicscient, but why? WHY?! I say a mix of first/person would produce far more intense erotic emotions.

These are not easy questions to answer, but if we can discover the answer, it will provide valuable information to the dev, and people interested in the topic.

EDIT: I think games like this can attract two target audiences (a) players who like female protag corruption games (b) players who like male protag NTR games ... IMO third person is very popular for female protag corruption games. Then IMO, first person works best for male protag NTR games.

No idea why you replied to my post with this. This game is not unique in this aspect in the slightest, I have played others that do this as well. This is why I asked this question in the first place, since I am confused as to why this game in specific caused a fucking literary debate.

Seems like learning all of these common terms (that anyone who listened during literature class should be familiar with, btw) took up quite some space, considering that you did not learn how important it is to debate in good faith, as opposed to taking badly-disguised potshots at people.

Because enjoyment is subjective, and some people find it tedious to replay a game from several perspectives, as opposed to getting everything in a single playthrough.

Now we're getting to the heart of the issue. What you refer to as "several perspectives" is actually TWO perspectives:

A) female protagonist corruption perspective - We can hear her thoughts from the third person narrator.
b) male protagonist ntr'ed perspective - We can hear his thoughts from the third person narrator.

However, by adopting third person narration, you've DISTANCED yourself from the erotic stimulation, so you're not going to cum as hard; aka the mind fuck. Third person narration LOWERS the emotional stakes. Read the following article, and in general, read about how first-person enhances the emotional stakes.

"A first-person narrative can raise the emotional stakes." (note: This is precisely what you want in a porn game).
- Source:

If we conclude that erotic stimulation is an emotion, and first-person increases the emotions felt, then we can conclude that first-person would produce far more powerful erotic stimulation.

First-person is ideal for playing as the male protagonist who gets NTR'ed.

Third-person works well for female protagonist corruption games, because a lot of guys don't want to play AS HER, they just want to control her. Of course, there are some people who don't mind playing as the female character, which means the game refers to her as you, example: "You walk up to the bar and talk to the bartender." vs "Tina walks up to the bar and talks to the bartender." I've seen some games let you choose the perspective.

(Note: If the developer asks me, I won't respond in this thread anymore.)

Well, it simply depends on the person, I don't play NTR get to get NTR'ed. I don't like being a cuck, I don't have a cuck fetish. But those games generally do a really good job on my favorite fetish which is female corruption. So I prefer 3rd person perspective which allows me to experience the female corruption as well as see the emotions of the cuck and the bull, while not really being in the situation...
