There's some merit to your suggestion, but there's also merit to the dev's approach. You are right that some more tension, like the protag regretting a choice, would be interesting. However, one thing Le Stag's done quite well compared to other devs of similar games is that they avoid too much branching. Excessive Branching is one of the most common mistakes made by devs. If they are going to add some more niche content, I'd recommend keeping it self contained such that when the story-line is wrapped up, it no longer needs to be tied into the main line. Potentially, some attribute(s), or a trigger that is occasionally called, could be added, though.

As of now I don't think there's a desperate need for any significant changes though.

The answer for this and almost all other questions is simple.
This is a kinetic novel with very limited choices like skip content or choose 1 of 2-3 pictures, so basically you are reading a book, not playing Visual Novel with real branching.
I asked about identical buttons with the same result and answer I got - these buttons only interrupt a text-wall and put a little pause on reading.
Everything else goes to a community wish-list which nobody is gonna read or take in consideration.

Yeah i can understand some of us loves soft content.. If anyone likes this, a dual route could be created. The romantic kink concept could continue based on the responses, or it could be a dark route.
