Unninstall and then install the new version, but beware that this deletes you save data.
I kept asking how to make backups as the dev suggested, but didn't got a reply...
Not the dev, but I've already said in this thread that you can access your saves via pc. If you don't have a pc, there is a weirdly fiddly way to access the protected file structure. It's somewhere in my post history - I'll try to dig it out .
Edit: you can access protected storage on android (assuming you have no PC) by following the instructions in https://f95zone.to/threads/universal-renpy-mod-urm-2-5-mod-any-renpy-game-yourself.48025/

Man, I plugged my smartphone just to take a screenshot and now it worked. I have tried to do so before, but it just appeared as a blank folder, as if there was nothing there (the whole data folder, I couldn't even see individual app folders).
I updated my phone Operating System version very recently due to unrelated reasons after a long time of not doing it (I have had problems with updates before, making an old phone show lot of issues after one, same as Windows, to be honest, so nowadays I just avoid it), so maybe that was it? I remember the whole "inaccessible data folder" was implemented in a update as well (which made harder to have local WhatsApp backups).
I remember someone sent me an forum post once with some russian .apk that I was too afraid to install, and other options (use others Play Store apps, plugging to an PC) I swear didn't work (enabling root seemed too much of a hassle to try just for that).
So I do apologize for that and also thank you for saying that again, but I still think there are some people who can't access it (there's way too much forums and reddit posts asking for help) and the game should offer an easier way for managing and exporting/importing this data...
And I didn't find instructions to it on the URM thread. One of the steps is "1. Use a filebrowser to go to /storage/emulated/android/data/<gamename>/files/game (create the directory "game" if it doesn't exist yet)", but I didn't see how to do that on phones.

I miss more MC-centric episodes. At this point in the story I get the feeling that the relationship is very unbalanced. Laura is already having anal sex and anal creampies with her bulls and the MC has only had a quick blowjob. I understand that the content is focused on Laura and I agree with that, and that it all started because of the MC's fantasy. But at this point it seems that the one who is enjoying the fantasy the most is clearly Laura and the MC doesn't have any kind of reward. In the last update Laura gave us a "privilege" and I personally loved that differentiation from the rest of the bulls, it makes the MC special. But seeing how the story has gone so far, we will lose that "privilege" in one or two updates and it will no longer be just ours. I get the feeling that it has become a bit routine, like "look honey I've been with Nathan/Oliver, oops he fucked me again 
". For every time we see the mc fuck, Laura has fucked 5 or 6 more times. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I would like to see more interaction from Laura with the guy she assumes is her boyfriend. "I can't wait for you to claim me" is fine, seeing that happen would be better. This is just an opinion, I have no right to ask for anything because I'm not a patreon. I just saw in the comments above that there were people with the same doubts as me and I wanted to express myself because I love this game. That's what Stag has been saying for ages. The NTS will be going both ways. It's just that MC will be "behind on the learning curve" in that regard compared to Laura. As Laura is very uneasy about it at the start.

yes, but in the surveys (patreons) there is an advantage of "Laura's dominance" (more acceptable NTR )
Here we see the consequences of the imperative of a "balanced" and harmonious relationship for storytelling. "Balanced" ends in happy indifference. And what is there to tell or narrate between the MC and FMC anyway? What could happen? What could be interesting? She fucks. He will fuck. That's it. You get what you wanted folks. The same with the "confident and dominant" trope. If you write NTS narratives as emancipatory and empowering experiences of the women, of course her focus will shift away from the MC. The point is not whom and how she fucks, but if her fucking around is emotionally psychologically focused on her boyfriend or not. And with theses narratives it is not. She explores her own fun, her own sexuality. How could you expect that to be relevant anymore for her relationship to her boyfriend. Only thing you can do is let him say the 100th time: you go girl. And that's it.

What are you referring to?
There's been no surveys on patreon. Just some polls, and those don't mention anything on NTR or "acceptable NTR".

You can also see MC and Laura live outside the MC phone, she is at home every day/night except when she report thru phone of her adventures. At least it is how I see it.
When you are "at the same place/time" with someone do you text/send picture thru phone to talk with him/her ?
As long they are not sharing with the madhouse, no reason the MC have pictures except some teasing about "waiting for him".
And each time she goes around she is going back to him to be "reclaim".
