I feel like a big part of their resentment might actually stem from interludes.I simply cannot let you have full control, period. The game would be unable to progress in a cohesive way. The "Dominant" path was never planned as giving you control, which is why I rebranded it, because people always assumed it should, when it can't.
It's in the interludes where Laura visits her bulls randomly and without (explicit) prior agreement. Sometimes you even get messages from the bulls.
Maybe you could group these NTS interludes and make them avoidable like Olliver's and Mike's?
I really can't think of another reasonable way to interpret their critiques. Everything else is avoidable already.
