What he is trying to portray is a couple opening up their sexual horizons and exploring a taboo and exciting kink together while also staying realistic. Its not realistic to suddenly make MC or Laura go into debt and start getting blackmailed so that Laura has to become dependent on some man to pay off her debts, or for her to start getting blackmailed by guys she has sex with.

Differnet bulls give you different scenarios and situations for Laura to find herself in and excite MC, different oppurtunites for depravity, they behave differently with MC and Laura.

The Dev does not want to create a sense of dread when playing this game, thats the opposite of what he is going for, hes said so himself. There's still plenty of kinks to explore, threesomes(boy and girl), creampies, Anal, one night stands, BDSM, cosplay, roleplay, exhibitionism etc. The list goes on, there doesnt need to be damage to a relationship for something to be exciting, if thats what you need to enjoy this game, then its not for you, simple as that.

You've mentioned a few times that it's not suitable for me, but the decision is mine. I've been following the game since its release and have played every update because it was suitable for me. What I'm saying is that the game no longer offers anything to me. Everything has become monotonous and feels like déjà vu. This can't just be something I think alone. If I'm writing such a long comment, it's because I love the game and respect the developer's effort.

Right now, it's at a bottleneck, and the things you've mentioned, the developer is already doing. For example, the cheerleader costume, etc. I definitely don't think they'll add BDSM. Anal scenes, creampies, and roleplay are already present in the game.

As I said, I've gotten maximum enjoyment and satisfaction from the game, and I'll probably only play the final chapter from now on.

OK, glad I gave this a chance, especially now that we got to point where the MC is getting naughty pics from the other lasses and got actual physical contact with another one. It feels a bit less cucky now. Also on the dominant route, which helps some so I can choose to let her mess with other dudes or not, at least some of the time.

Because it still gives some additional nuance and flavor to characters and their interactions. Even though every time the destination may be the same, the roads are different (compare sub and very dom route, for instance; or the ability to tell Ashley to not call MC "cucky" — I wouldn't like it if it wasn't there).
I don't think I've liked any other kinetic novel on this site, exactly because they give me neither the choice of action (maybe I don't want to have sex with that milf with huge tits), nor any way to define my character a bit. This game does. And it does more than that, since you can choose to not pursue other girls or tell Laura to avoid Oliver.

While people, IMO rightfully so, complained about Fallout 4's dialogue being "Yes", "Sarcastic yes". "No (actually yes, but later)" and "Question (Yes)", it is still better than it being just "Yes".

Was wondering why there was so much angry babble in this thread (not that it's that unusual), but after playing the new version, I can see why. Most mediocre content update so far. Probably more sensible for one-offs/ons or the MC (yesh, as a sub you can continue using a condom yourself, while Nathan doesn't), but for Nathan, from which we get many pictures for example it is probably easier to just have to do one variation and while I guess any dom player will go raw/creampie/anal ect with Laura as the first, I also think most still would choose to let her do it with the others afterwards, as it is part of the more involved fantasy compared to real life. Think of how a normal RPG video game flows. You have some sections of action, and others of dialogue, or travel, or at camp with your party. Not every minute is smashing the enemy with your sword.

If you play Netorase Phone from the start, each update so far generally flows well, and doesn't feel like it's stalling out or boring. I think the actual problem people have is from the fact that the last updates were small and generally set-up.

The devs been quite clear, he has a story in mind and a goal in place, I can't be bothered going to search, but he's mentioned in the past, the stages Laura and our MC are going to traverse. So yes there may be a lot of the same old old same old and then teases that ultimately lead to nothing, but we are setting up something bigger here.

The problem here is simply the medium in which the game is presented. This isn't some Ren'py game with statics and animations. It's told through a phone. It's always going to be tell not show and to be fair, there's not many ways you can present "I fucked Nathan" without it seeming the same.

You're quite right, playing it from chapter 1, the game does just flow and to combat the same old same old feeling that comes of just getting a wall of text from Laura describing her adventuresthe devs tried to mix it up with the group chats etc.

I mentioned this yesterday, but the fact Laura can break the rules is massive. It's no longer "Nath just text me" and then the fallout. Laura's suddenly allowed in the driver's seat and our content possibilities increase

It's better for the story overall if it is a slow burn and these things are earned rather than just thrown out there.

Actually, the developer is aware of the monotony and offers an option to break it. A choice that leans a bit between netorare and netorase wouldn't upset anyone. However, even if we give Laura permission to break the rules, she still doesn't do much. For example, the game gives me the chance to flirt with Ashley without Lauren knowing, and I invite her over. When I do this, I believe Lauren should have the right to step out of the netorase concept as well. But at the end of the story, Lauren still knows all about my entire conversation with Ashley. This feels a bit unbalanced.

Honestly still enjoying the game a lot, they're doing a good job with the phone format and I like the way the game is coming together. I haven't been grabbing every update so I have more to play through and I think that's the way to go with projects like these. As Laura gets more partners I'm kinda hoping she gets to be airtight some day, but even if that doesnt happen I'm looking forward to where things are going.

You would be happy, maybe even 90% of people in this thread, but certainly not 90% of people playing the game! Games like this draw in the "sub" players much more then the "dom" players, I am 90% sure the majority of players is here specifically for the experience of Laura fucking other guys and not because they want the MC to fuck other girls.

I think you are correct.

About the game being "stagnant": it may be true but LeStag explained both "he has a story in mind and a goal in place" but also he has not planned or written many chapters in advance.
So yes, sometimes with updates every three weeks, maybe he needs to write one chapter of lesser importance - not canon to the story - so that he can spare time for the writing of more critical upcoming chapters that need more work.

Being a little disappointed here and there by an update is normal and not concerning at all.
I for one keep in mind that this game was released here exactly 8 months ago. Anybody discovering the game now will enjoy it and playing it from chapter 1 to 30 means a several hours playthrough. Netorase Phone has MUCH content for an 8 months old game!

I am on board with the story, the characters, the pace, the art and the amount of art, and 100% onboard with the "healthy relationship" plan of the dev. I like both NTS and NTR. I understand this game is NTS and if I want a fix of NTR guess what? PLENTY OF NTR GOOD SHIT AROUND HERE.
About branches: I fully understand that "choices should matter much" is irrelevant because it multiplies the required amount of work (writing, art, coding) and that would SLOW THE STORY.

If I should point something I'd like to "improve" - it's not about NTS / NTR shit or Branches. It's about the following:
in this game, every girl at this point has a pretty distinct personnality, her own dialogue style and a really unique physique. On the contrary, the men Laura is fooling around with are a bit too much look-alike physically [understandable at some point - Laura may like a certain kind of men, and I think Nathan and Oliver look good - yet it's not ideal in a story like this]; and also, if not in personnalities (Nathan being more friendly/likeable, less dominant than Nathan for example), it's like there is also something too similar in... the way they talk and / or the pacing of their dialogues. It's not easy to pinpoint what exactly bugs me but at this point non-MC male characters need stronger identities.
Yet, this point CAN be improved, they just need a few chapters to be fleshed out... I'm confident with LeStag.

It is really too late to do much about the raw sex, it would be too much work to retrofit that now. I just hope that on the dominant path(one I am on), we can tell her not to allow anyone but the MC to creampie her. Just have her ask, to give the MC a choice. If you choose not to allow others to creampie her, just don't send a pic of the aftermath or just reuse one of the prior ones. Then the dev only needs to make the pics if you allow her to get creampied by others. So really, other than the coding to ask the question and have an "if yes goto/if no goto" type code, it would be less coding on the "no" side.

netarase is when the main character wants his girlfriend to cheat right? so just to be clear this game isn't about something like a girlfriend who slowly gets more corrupt behind the boyfriends back, with signs (but never acknowledgements) of such, over a period of texts?
