Reading comprehension eludes you my dude. Suntar is one of the Oliver fans btw and you are calling him out. People are mad about Oliver because he was an optional character before and now he is not anymore. Nobody is whining about how the scene between them happened, they (me included) are arguing that the dev changed his mind about Oliver being optional (meaning he doesn't get scenes with Laura, in the background or not). If you can't understand this simple thing...dunno what else to say.
The comparison with NTR was made to showcase that the dev changed his mind on the story once, what's stopping him to change it again into NTR in the future, thus the losing trust argument.

I think you did a good job with the tone. Oliver is certainly the best option to crash their party now and the next best thing that's not fully NTR yet. He's not only dominant and turns Laura into his obedient sex slave, he also doesn't give a shit about the MC and bosses him around as well. Laura knows he's a doormat now, and that will live rent free in her head. It's not something you simply shake off by saying "I love you".

No one is holding you here, and certainly no one is forcing you to play this.
I hope we see laura being shared and passed around a lot with one-time randoms at some point.

New update Oliver not being obnoxious anymore is the same as the rewriting of Tolkien's orcs into family oriented, misjudged people. It might work for new readers, but not for the ones that were here from the start and saw the whole debacle live. You did not even bother to write up a reason that fits the story, he just magically returned with a future Laura bullshit...bad writing on the same level as "Somehow Palpatine returned".
Oh, I understand how it works. I did not make myself clear when I said you decided to alienate patrons. My bad. The point I was actually trying to make was that vote should not have happened in the first place. Whatever the result was, you would lose patrons trust/opinion.
I understand it perfectly. You can't write optional characters in your story. Somehow you can write Ashley and Tara as optional, but not Oliver...I know, you're gonna tell me the story is centered around Laura, so it's easy to write off female characters.
It feels to me that you are arguing in bad faith, maybe I'm wrong and too stubborn to realize. The forum/patrons seem to be dominated by a crowd of people that want Laura to become a rag for everyone to fuck, they enjoy it that way, kudos to them. The story was always going in this direction, you clearly don't know how to write an open relationship dynamic from a dominant male point of view (some haters would say that's not possible, since sharing is inherently a submissive thing to do). You wrote a whole lot of rules and tendencies, there was a lot of communication between Laura and MC, but you somehow argue that the most important one, the choice of partners, is not something that you can write around.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, much appreciated. I guess I can take a hint, do the democratic thing (since the vote didn't go my way) and just shut up from now on. I said my piece, if there's anything you can take away from that it's up to you.
On a totally different topic, is this a typo ? Doesn't seem to be something that should show up on the stag route.

If you go to your save folder:

there's a bunch of files in there, but these are your autosaves:
the ones with a 0 in it.
Mind you if you delete these, on reboot the game will acts is if you never played it before. Just go through the short intro. And then load your last regular savegame. You progress and gallery unlocks etc. will all still be there.
Absolutely agreed. That was the issue with the cuck/humiliation route before, it was very clearly roleplay, and the kind of roleplay where Laura was just humoring MC rather than doing it because she wanted to. Now that Oliver is back Laura seems way more sincere about putting MC in his place and it feels way more organic.
It can be roleplay, but what makes roleplay exciting is that it feels real when it's happening. Also considering it's a freaking game, it's even better if the line is blurred between roleplay and reality, and I think that's part of the natural progression of NTS/cuckold stories. Eventually MCs fantasy starts to become reality, and he has to accept that this is his new relationship with FMC.
It's basically the hottest thing ever in my mind, and MC is written perfectly for it. We just needed Laura to get with the program and stop breaking the fantasy every two seconds to tell MC it's all fake.

Are you familiar with the concept of retroactive changes?
I'll say the same thing that I said to someone else: if you can't wrap your head around the concept of a story changing, don't play a game during development.
Ashley and Tara are optional because the whole concept of Laura sharing you is optional, and their progression is independent. If you remove Ashley, all the "Laura sharing you to Ashley" content is removed. You don't risk having partial progression, because that content doesn't exist at all.
But Laura fucking other men is not optional. That's the story. If you can remove Oliver, than I cannot have Laura's story progressing in an Oliver chapter, because some people would miss that, and the whole story wouldn't make sense.
If you skip a third of the chapters in a book, the story would feel disjointed. If a third of the chapters of a book are optional, and you can skip them, then these chapters not relevant in the long run.
So, because Laura's story is about her progressing, and that progression is shared between men, they have to be optional. Or I'd have to write a completely different story for each man, without any link between them.
It's not a hard concept to understand, if you want to try. Most of my players understood it perfectly.

I think the bottom line is that it's basically impossible to have a totally dominant stag route that meets your restrictions on Laura, while also having a submissive cuckold route that feels meaningful, while having both routes share the same core characters, situation, and dialogue. Which is what Stag is doing to keep the pace of development manageable and ensure both paths get concurrent updates.
Oliver can't be optional because then you just would have gotten NOTHING for Chapter 55, and Stag would have to write a completely different chapter 55 for the confident stag path. Then we'd be onto every other game's update schedule of waiting for YOUR path to get updated while months go by of the other path getting focused on.
I don't think Stag is intentionally forcing Oliver on you, it's just a limitation of the way he's making this game and writing the story. I'm also fine with him completely retconning Oliver's original intro, because it wasn't very good. He could change the name to satisfy people who don't like him, but really what's the point, we all know it's the same character, just rewritten.
I totally understand your frustration, but at the end of the day this is an Netorase game with choices and gradual '"corruption" (debatable) of the FMC, not a swinging/harem game where MC is fully in control.
I love the update. Always prefered Oliver to Nathan (too "friendly" / "boyfriend n°2") so it's nice to see him again.
There are however a few problems that I would like to point out:
1) A QoL update might be nice: There are quite a lot of variables now and, whenever we're using Memories, we'll sadly miss some content. This is bound to become a problem as the game continues. Ex: if the variable can be found on ch.25 but we want to see the content of ch.77, we'll have to wait a while to see that new content (need to redo all chapters until ch.77 & not click on anything wrong). Hence it would be nice if we could have more options about "What happened in the past?" while using Memories.
2) In ch.55 (Sub.Cuck path), Oliver orders Laura to post a certain picture on Squaregram (the "My bulls hands feel so good on my body...") but said picture can't be found on Squaregram? (Wanted to check the comments)
(However the second picture that Laura posts in ch.55 (the "Thinking about my boyfriend...") can be seen)
3) Little bug? I was still on an older version of the game (ending = after ch.48) on my computer. After opening v29.2, I loaded a save and I was expecting to continue where the game had ended (= do ch.49 and +), but I was immediately sent to ch.55 instead. I don't know how nor why this problem happened.
(Edit: said save was probably right after ch.48, on the usual "This is the end of the current version" message... so maybe being on this message connected me somehow to the end of ch54 = beginning of ch.55?)
4) Squaregram: I can't seem to be able to open it anymore for some unknown reason...? It worked just fine when I used a previous save but not with the lastest one (just after the end of ch.55).
5) I also found some lines (Laura speaking with MC) that were "a bit too repetitive". By that, I mean "pretty much the same". I don't remember exactly the chapter (between ch.25 to ch44? I should have created a save in order to mark it). The dialogue was basically:
Laura sending several messages (ex: "text A", "text B", "text C", "text D").
Player / MC responding.
Laura sending the same messages except maybe one that was a little bit different? (ex: "text A", "text B", "text C", "text D2")

I played it far enough, he was still an insufferable asshole within the first three lines "So, how's my favorite little slut?" "He says I'm the perfect little fleshlight". Why would I want our MC's partner to be around somebody who doesn't respect them or their partner.
We were given the option in game, do you not like this person and wish I didn't see him anymore, reverting that option literally goes against the premise and name of the game, it is no longer a NTS game but an NTR game because our partner is going against our wishes and seeing somebody some people don't like and purposefully removed.
Plus lets be real here, none of the content is that important, if Oliver wasn't in this version then literally nothing would've changed.
It's a shame I'm gonna have to drop this one because it's simply a lie and doesn't respect choices. If you can't move your story forward without respecting the rules you've already set in place then you simply have to do better at story telling.
Well at that stage just remove all the choices in the game and the stag route then and make it a kinetic novel and stop wasting peoples time if the dev isn't gonna even try to make those paths make sense. What's the point of having all those conversations and choices if they get ignored and you get a character forced on you that you want nothing to do with.
Which path are you playing on and were you by any chance using the "memories" option to start your playthrough of the new content? I haven't played the stag path but I did notice doing so causes all sorts of problems for me at this point because it doesn't account for lots of choices you would have made in the past.
In any case you SHOULD have the option to opt out of any humiliation or meanness from Oliver, and I'd imagine tell him to "fuck off" when he addresses you that way, ASSUMING you're on the right path.

I don't think the choices get ignored, but you DO have to be very careful about which ones you select (and there are a LOT of them at this point, especially things about specific fetishes that aren't captured in settings for memories). Certain major plot points just aren't negotiable because at its core there is only one route, just with variations based on your choices.
PSA for anyone using memories function btw: it's pretty broken at the moment if you're trying to take a particular path or see particular fetish options. Bottom line use a save that you played from the BEGINNING of the game until the memories function hopefully gets improved with the tendencies rework.
To your point, I think this game is partially a kinetic novel (in the sense that there is only one major path the plot follows) but the choices keep it interesting, let you customize which content you want to see, and make you feel like you're actually involved, versus just clicking NEXT 5 million times. There are even choices that don't matter at all other than changing a few lines of dialogue ( vs ) just to keep the reader engaged and let them pick the response.
I would hate for the choices they do exist to get removed because it would make the game extremely boring and remove any player agency. I'm also kind of glad the story isn't getting split because then you run into the issue where you're entirely missing 50% or more of the content unless you play every possible route, which would take forever at this point.

Do you even care at this point? Whatever she says rings hollow anyway now. Oliver is her master, and by proxy, MC's master as well. Whatever he says goes. MC can stand in his corner and play the disgruntled boyfriend but she won't say no to him, and if he doesn't play by HIS rules he gets nothing. He lends him his sex toy, not the other way around.
I was still stoked about how far Oliver's meeting progressed that Hugo's scene afterwards felt like one of those random interludes.
