Oh man, you need to chill out.

Where exactly in my post did I say anything about defending against any kind of criticism? Besides, you're posting on a public internet forum. If you can't handle people disagreeing with you you're in for a rough awakening.
To be honest, he has a point. I have just startet the game, so I can't seriously compare to older versions or can judge them without being a hypocrite. But that shown snap IS bright, It's clearly overtuned - even if someone starts talking about artistic reasons.

Was enjoying it up until it gives you no choice but to forgive Aquilla...

I don't care if she was just doing her job, I want nothing to do with her. Instantly killed my interest in continuing.
It didn't kill my interest in continuing, but regardless of what it made me say I didn't forgive Aquilla. I don't hate her, but don't trust her either. Out of the Lis so far Safiya is the only one I'm still interested in.

Personally Aquila is my favorite LI, I don't care that she showed up with the intent to murder. She chose not to, and even went to the trouble of trying to clear the air. I'm good with that, MC has likely been in that situation a number of times.

Aquilla isn't exactly my favorite, but what is there really to forgive ?

She came to murder the MC, but chose to go against her orders and not to do so.
She stole some tech, which belonged to the Princeps and he keept against the law (i really couldn't care less, he was an ass), can't say i care much about that village or Dante either.
The MC finds out she had absolutely nothing to do with the murder of the Princeps.
So all that is left is she put the MC to sleep, in his own home, really not hard to forgive imo.

Yep, with sneaky bitches like that around you could have a near death experience on the weekly... :ROFLMAO: Seriously, though, at first, I wanted to hate her so bad... Then, she was just so damn contrite... I couldn't bring myself to do it. So, in the spirit of taking the high road... I fucked her good and hard!

Yeah, pretty much my expirience.
Althought i'd say she is more ''trustworthy'' than most of the others, well maybe aside from Gaius, not that this means all that much...seeing one of the LI's gave the kill order just to be sure, the other creats an rather horrible undying army, the next was doing human experiments, your 'father' and his friend murderd your first parents and made you into a weapon, your brother murdered his father and managed to blame it on you...she's rather nice and normal in comparison

All standard fare for our clueless but heroic protagonist. Together we will help him blunder, bludgeon and bluff his way to victory as women all around swoon at his magnificent and manly miscues... As long as there are no premature ejaculations all will be well, I'm sure.

Nah, I mean she's fine - I'm not out to get her or anything but I definitely don't trust her. It's not even that I think she's secretly plotting. I just don't think her or her sister are all that reliable as people. I don't think they know their own minds and I think both are pretty weak willed. Not going to murder them in their sleep - just going to keep my distance.

See I agree with this about her sister, but Aquilla actively chose to disobey orders when she took a liking to MC. She was brainwashed but obviously not completely. In my view she's the only one of the whole lot of New Antiochians that shows any morality or trustworthiness at all. I want to open her eyes to how badly she's been used by the rest and have her by my side as I kill every last one of the psychos in that government (including, perhaps especially, her "sister" and "mother.")

I like Safiya. She's not from that family, or that culture. She's useful in a fight and as far as I can tell, she's her own side - if she likes me - then her side is the two of us. We'll see how things play out with her in the short term future, but I don't really like any of the others so far - except kinda the bar maid back home.

Agreed, Safiya isn't part of the problem in New Antioch so maybe she can be part of the cure. ;)

Finally had time to play this game and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. Story and characters are interesting so far and I'm genuinely interested in where the story could potentially be heading. However, I do have a big gripe with certain aspects of the world building. Not the history of the world itself but the overall clashing of stuff like this:

I get DAZ assets are limited but I really the wish the dev could've tried a bit harder trying to blend the the sci-fi and fantasy stuff better since sometimes it just looks like a mish mash of assets thrown together. Don't also get me started on the pic above me (farthest right), that shit completely broke my god damn immersion like wtf man. But who knows? maybe I'm just spoiled considering the fact that Desert Stalker seemingly integrated "old world tech" in a more fantasy dystopian setting and my standards have been set way too high XD.

On another note, is this just a graphical thing but wtf happened to Mateo's eyes in this scene? is this a mutant thing or what?

Besides that, I really did not like the haircut they gave him. He's looking more like a generic MC (considering that hair is a generic asset in Daz already) with that yee yee ass haircut.

Anyway, not sure if anyone has mentioned it before in this thread (nor will I backread all 60 pages of this thread to just confirm) but I love the fact that the "debate system" in new antioch is partially inspired from the debate system found in Deus Ex Human Revolutions and Mankind Divided. A Smart Choice by the Dev ngl, was not expecting it but much appreciated.

Before I forget too, loved this MGSV reference. Perfection.

PS. Also loved the renders made by this dev. Not the best I've scene but man are they good to look at.

Please remind me, is the developer on vacation and will he be back in early February?
I support vis SS and, on this platform, he is on vacation until March 1st. That does not mean we know he is spending 100% of his time on other things, only his status on this platform.

Cheers!! :coffee:

I didn’t hesitate to "betray" the village and Dante in my run. It seemed pretty clear that he would eventually betray the MC anyway, especially with his new partner. Plus, he kind of already did from the start with that messed-up plan (imo) that led the character to New Antioch.

As for Aquilla, I had no problem forgiving her. She ended up not going through with it, going against the Empress’s orders (her adoptive mother, if I’m remembering right). She’s too kind and pure-hearted to commit cold-blooded murder, and the remorse she shows afterward feels real. Also, since she and the MC are both orphans, there’s a shared life experience that makes them connect. Honestly, I just really like her character.
