I'm pretty sure there isn't a single political leader we've been introduced to in this game that hasn't killed or ordered people to be killed to secure their power. So really, Layla killing the Archseer is par for the course.I may want to go back and change my choice next update lol. Honestly, as others said, I wish there was a 4th option to kill both. One is clearly power hungry and not a good choice, and the other has significant flaws, too. Neither should be Archseer. But one actually killed for it... the other is just dumb and blinded by "love." Honestly, I think killing Layla MIGHT make him see reason, eventually. Imagine if in the final update, the wt mod goes back and changes this because killing her was right all along lol. Doubt it, but who knows?
So, Necrophilia AND Beastiality? Damn, this game is going for goal, isn't it!I think i know Muffins role

It's probably obvious, but in case you're being sincere... because Zehra did nothing? Doesn't seem to be remotely bad. Unlike that, where iirc, all 3 were criminals. Not that The Dark Brotherhood only targets bad people... but for that particular intro, it was 3 criminals. Why just "both"?

Maybe we can make him share the fate of Faustina and Dante
It'll be two corpses in my game, so yeah - fate shared. So a combined LI and corpse? That would be weird.....
Yeah I just noticed that myself (see edit).Kf6 (chess notation) is possible move, maybe author's mistake, or special Antiochian rules, that queen's loss (Faustina)=checkmate
I think the "wrong" choice is a very logical one: He is the killer because he is a man. This is a porn game, so kill the men and harem the women.I'm pretty sure the answer the wt mod gives is NOT the correct answer, though? As it was discussed here...but the wt mod saysYou don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.so that's why I was questioning it. It's objectively the wrong choice, if we want to pick the ACTUAL killer. So I was wondering if maybe it flagged a different variable or something, that indicates future benefits. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Kf6 (chess notation) is possible move, maybe author's mistake, or special Antiochian rules, that queen's loss (Faustina)=checkmate.Decided to do a fresh playthrough for the heck of it (and to refresh my memory about a few things, like how cute Aquila is) and I came across this :

Now, I'm certainly not a grandmaster by any means, but can someone explain to me how that's checkmate? Red is certainly not in a good position, but it seems to me that the king could simply move to C3 to escape the check. Am I missing something?
Edit : the king could also simply take the queen. Fucking Enzo's even worse than I am at chess.
Edit 2 : fixed the corrupted screenshot
Just noticed we're reading the numerical row differently.Kf6 (chess notation) is possible move, maybe author's mistake, or special Antiochian rules, that queen's loss (Faustina)=checkmate.
P.S. Bishop on b5 protects queen on d7, therefore K:d7 is impossible move.
You can say it costs nothing but the written walkthroughs suggested it would have consequences so I didn't take that risk of being locked in to anything and at least it was personally satisfying to tell him to screw offI took his hand, because it cost me politically nothing, but if he still thinks I'm blindly on his side, it might give me advantage if/when I need to turn on him later and he might let slip some info about whatever he's planning if his guard is lowered around me. Or it might make it easier to figure out a less-violent solution, if such a thing is possible.
While emotionally satisfying, politically and strategically it seemed dumb to burn that bridge this early.
It would be REALLY lame if you're locked in from that. It would basically either force a replay for MANY people, or they'd just drop the game. Like me. I'd probably just drop the game. Unless like the game ends in the next update, since I have a save before this one, for now. But like, 50 updates from now? Yeah, I'm dropping the game instead of restarting, if I'm locked in.You can say it costs nothing but the written walkthroughs suggested it would have consequences so I didn't take that risk of being locked in to anything and at least it was personally satisfying to tell him to screw off![]()

You're looking at it wrong, in my opinion. My guess is that burning bridges with him now will have consequences because he no longer trusts you, and won't share info with you or actively will even move against you.You can say it costs nothing but the written walkthroughs suggested it would have consequences so I didn't take that risk of being locked in to anything and at least it was personally satisfying to tell him to screw off![]()
Yeah, that's what I'll end up doing if it does stupidly lock my choice in. It's far too early to be picking sides permanently with just a simple gesture that literally no one else sees.URM solves many problems.![]()
I tend not to use it unless I can't rename the MC, don't have the quick menu to auto-progress, or really want to cheat because there are stats. Plus, it's hard to know which "options detected" moment would be the start of the end with him, where you'd have to select a hidden option or toggle off the "shook hands with" or whatever. (I already forget his name. I was putting Enzo, then remembered that's not your "brother." Derek or something? Idr)URM solves many problems.![]()

Yes, I'm saying you'd have to manually check EVERY time it said "Options Detected" because you'd have NO clue WHICH time was the ending starting. And I'm not doing that. Do you know how many should happen between now and the end of the game? Either the dev needs to make sure that DIDN'T lock us in, or maybe the mod can at least be like, "Modder note: This is the where you need to change the handshake variable." I know how to change the variables. I've done so plenty of times. I said it's hard to KNOW WHICH time to do so, not that it's hard to do so.Dante.
And it's pretty easy. When "Path Detected - X options" pops up you click that, then click the condition box to figure out what it's referencing. If "Shook hands with little twat = true" then it's because of that and you can either select a different condition, or click on the name of said condition in the condition box and change its variable to false or whatever it needs to be if it's dealing with a stat or something.
