You are being a bit too pessimistic here, something could have happened IRL that has prevented him from continuing development, but that does not necessarily mean he has abandoned it forever.

His last Patreon log was in September, and he even was online up until last month.
The dev stopped going online on f95 when it was pointed out in discord that he is still logging in to f95. That seems deliberate.

And this VN is supposed to be only 10 episodes long and it is on Steam.. wouldn't make any sense to stop now, so probably some IRL problems.

TheRedMyst, if you're reading this from an alt account, we love this game and hope you can pick it back up someday hopefully soon! And good luck with whatever it is you're dealing with. We respect your privacy, wish you well and again hope the game is not dead because it's a fantastic one!

i would usually cope about it being too early to tell about this being abandoned since i liked this game but it probably is. the last two updates were pure disappointment and especially how he handled aquillas first scene. the render quality was also taking a hit, compare any scene from the first/second update to the scene where you have sex with the girl you could've chosen to kill the in the investigation (i forgot her name). the real question now is whether the dev has enough balls to admit to it getting abandoned or will he tuck his tail and disappear like most of them love to do. shame.

Damn, you're gloomy. Let's at least wait half a year before burying the game.

Being pessimistic is kind of my thing lol.
Jokes aside, I didn´t say he had abandoned it, I said it wasn´t that crazy to think it´s a possibility.
I´m actually just going by what other people have pointed out, which is that the devlog time has come and gone and nothing was posted, along with the fact that the Dev also hasn´t said anything in regard to the lack of updates. So people naturally wonder if something happen to him. I hope not, and I also hope he continues this game.

i mean, the last few updates do seam to take longer and longer, and the complete radio silance ain't great.
most people understand that there are always the posibilityes of some IRL stuff going down, but at the same time ... most people also understand that posting a msg takes about 20 - 40 seconds.... like..... can we please stop pretending that a 40 second typed msg is some mythical herculean effort ?
everyone is fine with allowing more time when IRL shit goes down, but as far as i am concerned, to many people seam to be fine with makeing up scenarios of justifications of why something is happening...
i also had a relative die 2 weeks ago, it sucked... left a text msg to everyone knowing that i would be hard to reach for the next 3 days till after the funeral, after witch went back on the grind.
going out of contact for 1/4 th of a year kuz " ma' dog step't on a bee " is a little obscene to be honest

This was and still one of my favorit games.
too bad the dev is taking so long to update it these days ...
Right now, we do not know what is going on with the dev.

He has been radio silent since early September, which is quite unlike him.

We don't know if, for example, he got hit by a car and is recovering from the accident or if there was a house fire and he lost all his gear.

All we can do is wait until we hear from the dev or someone we've seen previously represent the dev when they have been unable to respond themselves.

If there is communication from the dev on a platform like Patreon or SubscribeStar, I'm sure it will get posted here.

For now, best to just enjoy other AVNs that are getting updated.

Cheers!! :coffee:

Man thats kinda sad, i love this avn, kinda seems like it lacked support but i always feel like some devs surreder before they even started. We were just at the beginning and it had huge potential but nobody can expect to get a huge amount of subs with just a few versions and not really the fastest dev speed ...

A dev going no contact for 3 months without an anouncement beforehand is kinda the same like the avn isnt getting properly developed anymore. How many life-changeging tragedys do exist which restrict someone from writing one single message on patreon for 3 months ... ?

Aaaand i hate it, i lose all respect towards devs who dont announce their depature, its one of the reasons i only ever sub in release months for any avn and never inbetween.

Abandon it, tell your patreons its on hold or whats up but dont just shut up and still take the money. It isnt really but i personally consider it as theft or at least fraud if devs do that. These subs who keep being subbed longtime are the most loyal customers anyone could have and these devs keep spitting on them.

Well we will see what's the case here but i dont really remember any dev who created consistent updates after he vanished unannounced. The best you can hope for are random irregular updates at this point imo if the dev doesnt have some grand explanation for his vanishing.

There's something else going on here. A developer couldn't just publish a devlog and then suddenly burn out and quit. Life definitely played a role, or he was arrested, or the war came, whatever, but I don't believe he could just burn out after publishing his development.
