Just put "Abandoned" tag and stop misleading fans
Today's date is July 20, 2025.
The last thread update in OP was April 11, 2025, last patreon post by dev was June 19, 2025.
WTF are you talking about?
Wouldn't it be easier for YOU to stop following the thread and change your signatures if you still don't understand this dev has very slow development times after all these years?

Do enjoy this game and will be glad once it passes the mark of having more content than the original version, though i do wonder if this will get a completed tag before i turn 30 or if at all.

Just abandon it yourself till it's worth playing again (if ever worth it). Don't get me wrong I'm still mad at the game being remade over and over... but i'm over rageing about it, just gonna play it YET AGAIN when it reach a milestone i care about. And if it does not, then it's one more dropped game

Do we know which girls will have romance/dating path in this rework? I see Michelle is there as in previous version(s) and I read in some of those dev reports that it will be possible to date Martina from next update. Keesha when?:censored:

If you tryed 1.55 there was paths for all of them and it seems we will see them on rework as well.

د This game should be called abandoned, the developer is very dull and slow.
Maybe ... this developer made something of a cult following of its games , i mean you have enough games to call it a franchise , and new coral city couldve been his magnum opus , instead it got in development hell and after that decided to reboot it , but the thing is 1 update or if its a good year 2 updates / year is awfull.... i get it , real life dictates the flow of the game , but the way he treats the game nowdays , milking the community , its better to left it alone and continue his normal life without anymore game developments....

This is the 8th game with each game being intertwined with each other. I have yet to see another developer even try to do that. If HG has burn-out, let him recuperate, get his shit straight so he does not half-ass this game. Like a lot of other developers have done to shut the complainers up

We'll actually get GTA 6 before the game is caught up to where 1.55 was...that's pretty insane. This game began over 6 years ago, Days Gone came out on PS4 the same month this thread was made. It was a year before COVID, the original Death Stranding came out that year, just for some context over how long it has taken to get to this point

WTF are you saying? How is he "milking the community" if he makes less than 100 Euro/month? We all get the game for free, we know it's just a hobby for him and he does that after his reular job. This VN will never pay the time he wasted by making it.
Just be grateful and patient. If you've no patience, just play another VN, it's so simple.
This dev at least has got a vision and it's really interested in his stories, many other developers just follow the request from "the community", then the plot goes nonsense or banal, dev loses interest because the stoy is no longer theirs, game is abandoned.

We are all aware of HG's shortcomings, but at least he's still working on it with passion. And he's done that for years, without any tangible monetary gain. I don't get how many people here can pretend to complain about slow developers.

Update

Just now

1

Here I am—sorry for the long absence. Lately I’ve had to travel a lot (mostly for work, not much vacation time).
The good side is that thanks to my laptop I’ve been able to keep working on the code, dialogues, and storylines for the game (I’ve reached the Friday night event).
The downside is that I’m way behind on the renders (they’re still stuck on Thursday morning).
But I’m optimistic.
In the next few days I’ll be home for three days, and I plan to prepare a mountain of renders for my desktop to process while I’m away again. During that trip (about ten days) I should have enough time to finish all of Saturday’s content and probably start Sunday as well. Around September 6th I’ll be back home and will focus on the missing renders.
I don’t want to make exact predictions, but I’d love to be able to release the new game week in October.
Unfortunately, I don’t have many new images to share with you this time (as I mentioned, I’m behind on renders since I haven’t been home much).
Sorry again for the lack of communication:
  1. I didn’t have my Patreon login on my laptop and didn’t feel like resetting it.
  2. I didn’t want to make a post without at least one new image to show you.
I’ll catch up with you as soon as possible with more updates and hopefully good news.
In the meantime, thank you so much for your support and trust in my work.

The slutty bartender that your roommate dates first has turned me on from the beginning, and I just realized why. I used to (ok, still do) have a thing for playboy playmate Summer Altice, and to me, the bartender looks A LOT like her. Honeygames, was Summer Altice an inspiration for you in creating that model?

As someone who's been following the game for years, I love the vast and captivating world of New Coral City. The redesign has taken this a step further, making the game a much better place, but the sheer number of characters and the addition of more with each update makes the game complex and challenging. (My opinion.) I'm eagerly awaiting the new update and wish you continued success.

Honestly no, but I’m glad you noticed that similarity.

As for the ever-growing number of characters—like I’ve said many times before, this game is meant to be the foundation for a whole “universe.” Yes, it’s taking me a long time to build it, but right now the plan in my head is coming together exactly the way I wanted.
To make it a universe, you need a lot of characters—it’s an entire city (or at least a set of characters for every sphere of life).

In the future, having developed this level of depth will allow me to create other games, with different MCs, much more easily. That’s why I think it’ll all be worth it.
Some of my characters already came from my earlier games. At some point I realized that giving continuity to certain characters could create, moving forward, an environment where many different stories could be told, with a believable background already in place. That way I don’t have to start from scratch every time, but instead I can keep adding details as things happen—making the characters more “credible,” more detailed, and with actions and behaviors that truly feel like the consequence of their life experiences.

Your work truly contains a rare kind of story writing. I can say that it truly sets itself apart from other games in its genre with its realistic dialogues. I would like to see more development updates

I know—I’ve been trying to improve my “day-to-day” communication and updates compared to the past.
It’s not easy since I’m constantly on the move. I managed to set up a workflow that allows me to keep things moving forward even while I’m traveling: I focus on story development while I’m away, and my desktop at home keeps rendering. When I’m back, I gather all the material and prepare new render files that my PC can then work on while I’m gone again.

It’s a complex process to handle, especially with such a large story and so many branching storylines, but after months of trial and error I think I’ve finally reached a balance. In a few months the new release should be ready, and if it turns out as good as I expect (and not a complete mess full of bugs caused by this new workflow), then I’ll know I’m on the right track.

I just got back from Madrid this afternoon, slept a couple of hours, ate something, and now I’m opening the files again…

Here’s a little spoiler of something I’ll be talking about on my Patreon: starting with this release, there will be more “self-contained” stories (similar to what I’ve experimented with in past releases). These stories won’t affect the main flow of the game, but they might return in future releases (if unlocked).

Given the sheer number of characters and the impossibility of adding major updates for each of them in every single release, some of the new characters will serve as interesting variations on the theme—adding depth and also replay value. In fact, I believe it’ll be impossible to unlock all storylines and characters in just one playthrough. When you replay the game, not only will you be able to make different choices with the main characters, but you’ll also get the chance to explore different side stories and unlock new situations.

This was already present in previous chapters, but now, as the plot gets more layered, it becomes even more central.
